I'm guessing that not as many people wish to see my house on Street View as they would Paul McCartney's house.

Actually, I don't know that anyone wishes to see my house on street view.  Though I've not looked at stalkershare.com in a while.

I don't have that many fingers left after doing all the work I had to do.

I think they still blur the Navel Observatory in DC. Or maybe it just couldn't be photographed because of the evil it once contained.

It appears under UK law, Google has to blur the pictures of anybody's house that asks them to do so (rich or poor).  This is not an "Eat the rich" story; heck, it's not much of a story at all.

From what I understand, Real Life Enclave Guy Dick Cheney wasn't there often.

that is because he was on the hunt for a nice, young, fit heart to replace his own failing one.  he found it.

It was un-blurred post-Cheney...err... Bush administration.  Not really sure what that did anyways, since you could look up the aerial photos in several public archives.  Perhaps Cheney didn't want photographic evidence of the busloads of schoolkids that came in but never came out.

I'm not exactly defending them here, but answer me one question:

Who's more likely to get stalked: An average everyday shmoe, or a celebrity?

I know this won't change it to speak of, but it at least deters some of the idiots.
