On the Sin City/Eva Green poster below, also banned apparently, does anyone else think the top line of her bosom is simply never going to join up with the bottom line?

Yeah there is something off about Eva Green's right boob. Maybe the movie explains why. In other news nine headed space vaginas offend me greatly.

If it did, it would be a very oddly shaped breast.

Should probably be marked NSFW for the Eva Green pic a little ways down.  Not that it offends *me* mind you...

Really, I want the movie to explain why Jessica Alba is a stripper who never takes off her clothes.

I REALLY hate being forced into crippled mobile versions of web sites with no option to view the desktop version.

Because she's so hot guys will throw money at her fully clothed?

That would be my guess.

I thought she was a dancer at a bar, and not a stripper at a club. Probably one way in the books, but it's a believable change.

This country is so prudish regarding anything even remotely connected to sex. Yet something like The Saw movie posters are ok to show.

Funny, I've been watching Batman the TV series on IFC and having dark thoughts. I didn't know there was a Frank Miller movie on the way, I was thinking "but the version I'd want to see would be directed by..."

The airbrushing being done to get the lighting effect is likely also screwing around with things.  Either way, her boobs are still glorious.

It might just be her.  In that case, I will step up and take one for the team.
On further research (NSFW, obviously), they are symmetrical and not bad at all.  She rather looks like a real woman, not a basement dwellers speculations.

If you are using Chrome, press menu key then check "request desktop site" on Android phones. Works with 99% of web pages. Every now and again I'll run across an odd page, like frys.com, where it won't work. Most of those pages will have "view desktop page" at the bottom.

If you are using an iphone, sorry, can't help you out. I've never used one and have no idea if there is a similar option.

I just set my mobile browser to request the desktop version.....  I could be wrong but my assumption is that the browser tells the website it's a different user-agent.  Firefox and dolphin have that feature.

See also "Flashdance" where the bar with "artistic" dancers has twice the customers of the rival tittie bar.

They buried the lede, which is that the MPAA has regulatory powers over movie posters. Who knew?

thornhill: They buried the lede, which is that the MPAA has regulatory powers over movie posters. Who knew?

I think it's related to the ratings system. I think they evaluate not only the movies themselves, but also promotional material attached to the films. I know that trailers get ratings, too, so maybe posters and standups and the like get the same thing? It probably isn't "banned" as in "publication is illegal" but I'd say it's something where the MPAA told movie theater owners that they don't support it, so the theaters fall in line like the good little sheep they are, just like they do with enforcing the ratings on customers.

BTW, not sure if you're aware, but that's one of those things that people probably don't realize - there's no penalty to a theater who lets in minors to see an R rated movie. The only thing holding up this system is the theater owners who enforce it.

Or it's more like if you want your movie to be rated by the MPAA (the whole system is voluntary and everyone goes along with it because it does help ticket sales), then you have to let them review your marketing materials.

Nah, they are just a little out of whack, and need adjusting.

My college newspaper had an advertisement for Life of Brian that yelled in huge type: "Streisand, Di Niro, Redford ... all together for the first time in one ad."

A bunch of folks who didn't understand Python humor got really pissed.
