Not sure what OP4 is, but Googling it results in a very bizarre quartet of (NSFW) Google Image suggestions.

Just a reminder of why I left NC as soon as humanly possible.  I cannot stand that accent.

Google:  OP4 explosives

That puts the following near the top rather than the links you are bookmarking for later:

tl;dr - Don't create sparks or flame near any explosives by any means.  That includes lighting a farking cigarette you idiot!

Doubtful. That place is the first exit in TN when heading south. It's a big tourist trap exit. I've got fireworks from that place several times. That place was always busy.

Used to make special trips to TN just for that, but KY (at least here in Lexington) has removed the bans since 2011.

I'll be stopping at that exit in 2 weeks. I stop anyway, but hey, free CARNAGE!!!

Huh. I had the same two thoughts, but reversed.

Ordinance Publication #4. It's basically a log of at least a century of bad decisions regarding handling explosives and where they went wrong. Most of the descriptions involve idiots. It may be classified because why tell the other guy how to not blow themselves up.

Most of it is common sense.

you have got to be thinking of a different one, this one was at exit 141.

I played it safe this year and stayed away from Crazy Eddie's Fireworks. (You know, over there on County Road 56, just up from the state highway.)

Rational Ralph's and Sensible Steven's got my business.

This makes me sad.  This is the SECOND fireworks store in that area to burn down in the last 3 years!

http://archive.wbir.com/news/article/171371/2/No-one-hurt-but-firewo rk s-store-destroyed-by-fire   <---Last one, was an amazing store pre-fire.

It used to be that you could drive along I-75 in Campbell County and stock the hell up on everyone's biggest deals.  Now there's only 1-2 major shops left.  Sucks.

So you're saying they would have had one hell of a firesale?

Well, enjoy fireworks while you can. Eventually Global Warming legislation is going to make them illegal.

Sorry, second exit when heading south out of KY.
The first exit is Stinking Creek Road or something. The top of Jellico Mountain basically.

Well, it's good to see that there are people who are even worse at taking videos than I am. At least it wasn't vertical, but that's not saying much.

/if people died fighting this fire I'm going to feel like crap

THIRD
Thought that exit at the bottom of the mountain was still in KY.

I don't think fireworks emit any appreciable levels of C02.

Assuming you're not being sarcastic.

Gotta admire the dedication to the craft but I can't help but feel there are some practical concerns you haven't taken into account store owner guy

Oh my gosh x100, Oh my werd x100.. you can feel the heat, look - WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT EVEN FARKING MEAN?!?

Nothing like having a moron tell ya what cha all fers is a seeing with ch-ya ooown eyeballers!  And seriously, she thinks the firemen should have known about it before it happened?? Really now? Someone smack her around tap her on the shoulder and tell her Minority Report isn't real and that fireworks are set off by fire, in a fire, when a fireworks store burns and the fire burning it is.. oh hell that woman just #$%^&*(*&^%$%^&*(^%$$%^&*( me the %&^**^ off!

i just hate it when someone with parkinsons tries to shoot a movie

Rincewind53: Oh my  word Ernie.

Usually I find commentary annoying, but she made the video.  Every word she said was awesome.

And how the fark do you start a fire anyway?  I've thought about fire hazards in my home (stove, furnace, dryer) and none of them are actually likely to burn my home down.

How the fark is anyone stupid enough to burn down a fireworks stand? (which should have no stove, furnace or clothes dryer).

/well we were just smoking a joint in the warehouse, but it's cool because it wasn't a cigarette

lol...that's all right..we both are kindda screwed up on it...I thought there were more exits after it before you got to ky.

What always made me giggle, was a lot of fireworks stands, in the dead of winter, have a butane tank close by.

2014-07-07 03:03:22 AM
Insurance lightning.  Someone's going to jail.

I would never get near a fireworks fire.   Deflagration has an evil brother.

The voiceover is much more entertaining than watching the fire. Listen through to the end, if you can.

"Ernie, hurry up and get gas, and let's get away from this gas station. shiat."

Two days after the 4th? Unpossible.

studebaker hoch: Dafuq is a butane tank?

A tank that holds butane? You know, that gas/liquid used in lighters (well, lighters that don't use light petroleum distillate liquids. A butane lighter would be something like a Bic or a micro torch lighter. A LPD lighter would be something like a classic Zippo)

2014-07-07 03:19:04 AM
No sh*t.   I thought they meant propane.

They really have butane tanks.

*clicks profile*

Is that because people like you are actively seeking to change the law? Or is your 'Pledge' not about political activism, just personal responsibility?

I'm asking for clarification, not to judge. I'm a grass-roots environmentalist that believes the real change happens when you educate the public into wanting change, not waiting till the gov mandates it.
