some_beer_drinker: they all have ak-47's, but not a vacuum?
Giltric: That rug really tied the filth together.
Psychopusher: "Achmed! Achmed, it's filthy in here! Here, make yourself useful. Take the dirt floor outside and shake it out."
RoxtarRyan: CSB time:People think of areas in the middle east, like Afghanistan, as a desert, which is rightfully is, but associate sand with it. Far from it. Sand would be an improvement. Sand can be filtered, has some weight and size to its grains. No, what is there, is far worse... On the sun-baked ground, there lies about 3-5" of a dust even finer than baby powder. And, since it is everywhere on the ground, it is everywhere in the air from the moment you stepped off the aircraft, in your lungs, eyes, nose, ears, crevices in your body you didn't think dust could get into, in all of your electronics, every nook and cranny of a vehicle, etc. Going there, one of the only things I looked forward to was having a decent view of the stars, but I had a better view in downtown Boston. The dust is everywhere in the atmosphere and so thick it blocked out most of the stars worse than city lights do, and if you took a picture at night with the flash on, you would just see bits of dust everywhere reflecting the light./csb
unfarkingbelievable: Um, it's not really a "csb" because you neglected to explain exactly where all that dust actually comes from and why it's different than "sand."
