How about gently placing it, or perhaps even lightly tossing?
2004-02-13 09:09:38 AM
Heh. I myself have thrown urine onto a Wyoming road, just outside Lamont, to be specific. It's a legitimate concern, you go like 200 miles between gas stations...

2004-02-13 11:01:49 AM
Is the sidewalk still ok?
2004-02-13 11:13:42 AM
The article says "along the road" so sidewalks are probably a gray area. To be safe, I'd use a plastic bag for my urine if I was going to use the sidewalk since it isn't a bottle.
2004-02-13 12:01:19 PM
Easier to just pee out the window.
2004-02-13 12:05:03 PM
What if while making your jeans look like burning film some actually drips on to the road?
Is that against the law?

/Just wondering, DRTFA
2004-02-13 12:50:49 PM
apparently roadside pee bottles are a scourge here in washington state. the state has printed posters available to any state agency that wants them with a picture of a bottle and it says "this is not a toilet." i want this poster.
2004-02-13 02:07:41 PM
I need that poster, batchild.

Isn't there already a law against this?

Isn't it littering?

Also, how do they catch people?

Do they run a DNA test against the Illuminati's secret database?

Was I not supposed to tell y'all about the database?

Do I have a lot of questions?

Yes I do?

What the hell?

If I rewrite the damn thing then it's not the same article and I can do whatever I want with it, stupid AP copyNazis.

If we don't make a stand now, soon you won't be able to throw your urine anywhere.

This is serious folks.

Take it seriously.
2004-02-13 02:44:17 PM
so it's ok to toss an empty bottle out the window?
2004-02-13 02:44:58 PM
can you still throw urine in a tossed salad?
2004-02-13 02:45:09 PM
Well I guess my weekend plans are ruined! Thanks for nothin!
2004-02-13 02:45:49 PM
Damn government! Taking away our inate freedoms!
2004-02-13 02:46:40 PM
I got hit with a piss bottle once.
I was on the side of 78 highway.
My boy scout troop was selling Christmas trees.
I was dressed in a Christmas tree.
It knocked me out.
2004-02-13 02:46:49 PM
Just pis in Domestic beer bottles and sell them to under age kids who ask you to buy them alchohol.

Bonus: they pretend to be drunk and come up off some ass for ya!

2004-02-13 02:46:52 PM
As far as I know, it is still illegal in Wyoming to take a bath on the side of the road before noon on a Sunday.
2004-02-13 02:48:16 PM
Does anyone know if Amtrak is still dumping the raw sewage from their trains' restrooms onto the tracks?
2004-02-13 02:48:24 PM
So, if it's not my urine, it's ok then? Oh, good.
2004-02-13 02:48:58 PM
you mean that wasn't a gallon jug of lemonade that i thought some person had left by the side of the road?
2004-02-13 02:49:12 PM
Oh yes, the face my new home state shows the nation. Well, I suppose it is better than some other stories I've seen break big about Wyoming in recent years. No one has died from the practice...yet.
2004-02-13 02:50:28 PM
I worked with a (white) guy from Riverton once who said they used to drive through the reservation up there at 80 MPH and toss handfuls of rocks out the window at Indians standing by the side of the road. He thought it was really funny.

He didn't say if Dick Cheney was riding along with them, though.

Ah, Wyoming.
2004-02-13 02:51:55 PM
I drove through Wyoming once. I think there were about 2, maybe 3 exits off the highway the whole way. We almost ran out of gas.
2004-02-13 02:52:03 PM
I guess Wyoming is a dry state ...

how'd you like to be the guy that has to mow the ditches? it's 98 degrees and you hit one of those nasties. they explode, ya know. you want that all over you? just save your stupid milk jugs and dump them in an appropriate receptacle. fer cryin' out loud. use your brains.
2004-02-13 02:52:48 PM
I, for one, welcome our new urine tossing overlords.
2004-02-13 02:53:12 PM
Sitting on a stool in a bar and pissing your pants because you're to drunk to walk to the bathroom is still encouraged.
2004-02-13 02:55:31 PM
Buncha fascists!

This is the last straw! That's it, I'm moving to Canada!

This time for sure.
2004-02-13 02:56:12 PM
actually, if I knew more or anything at all about Wyoming I would be making fun of it.
2004-02-13 02:59:02 PM
What are they complaining about? It is an excellent deicer.

If throwing urine on the road is outlawed, only outlaws will throw urine on the roads!

Also, what the hell is this, Russia!?
2004-02-13 03:02:12 PM
in 504i3t RIJ551A, urine throw out you!
2004-02-13 03:05:33 PM
It's the bottle that concerns them , not the urine. Everyone pees along the road here. Why people need to piss in a bottle is the part I don't get. With no traffic why pee in your car when you can just get out and go?
2004-02-13 03:06:53 PM
But he said the measure is still needed to address an increasingly pungent problem, especially among highway cleanup crews.

I thought they used prisoners for that? So who gives a shiat.
2004-02-13 03:07:13 PM
I prefer to simply pull over and pee directly onto the side of the road.
2004-02-13 03:08:51 PM
this apparently is a problem in washington state too. An article was written by the seattle times or Pi a while ago about how many jars of urine and crap are found along the highways, and its becoming an environmental hazard.
2004-02-13 03:09:36 PM
I've stood in the center of the road and taken a long whiz many times on WY highways. I didn't even see other cars - explain to me how this is a problem. If 200,000,000 livestock can pee in Wyoming, why can't I?
2004-02-13 03:09:47 PM
You know urine Wyoming when...

/sad what 5 years of fark can do to a man.
2004-02-13 03:10:12 PM

With no traffic why pee in your car when you can just get out and go?

I dunno, bub, people must be in a pretty big hurry to get the hell out of Wyoming. :-P
2004-02-13 03:11:23 PM
they must be pissed off about being pissed on
2004-02-13 03:11:40 PM
If you did get caught, you would be leaving BAC evidence behind. Chances are no cop would do anything to you for just taking a leak along the road, the cops do it too.
2004-02-13 03:12:12 PM
but i liked peeing in bottles and throwing them on the side of the road!

/never been to wyoming or peed in a bottle
2004-02-13 03:13:52 PM
wyohome--truck drivers do it. when they're on long hauls, they don't want to take the time to stop. it adds up and time is money. it's pretty simple to understand: pee in your jug, then pitch several jugs in the dumpster when you stop. even if they do use convicts to clean up the ditches, it's still a health hazard to them.
2004-02-13 03:14:03 PM
I can't believe this is legal anywhere. Yuck!
2004-02-13 03:14:51 PM
How much you want to bet this problem is coming 95% from OTR truckers?
2004-02-13 03:16:32 PM
well... in MY state, of michigan, we have these things called "rest stops". don't they have those in wyoming? either way, whats the fun in peeing in a bottle when you could get out and piss down a prarie dog hole?
2004-02-13 03:17:06 PM
Is this where the play UrineTown takes place?
