Nothing is for free if it's from the government

I'm sure Canadians are thrilled to see their tax dollars going towards such critical works.

not sure of the obesity rates of US vs Canada but I'd imagine they are a bit healthier/slimmer up there overall.

Here in the US you'd have some fat loudmouth welfare queen show up with 6 kids and ruin the entire thing for everyone. Either by getting hurt, breaking it, making a mess, etc.  If she was refused due to weight, our -insta-lawsuit society would make quick work of shutting anything fun and physical down for all the regular folks.

Hrmmm, lets see the benefits of Obama Care.

1. Raised my health insurance premium by 100%
2. I have less benefits than I had previously.

Oh wait, I dont think those are benefits.

Well the government has run our budget into the ground, the US Postal service, Social Security, and a host of other programs.  The only program that used

But don't worry they PROMISED us they would do better this time, it's just our lives at stake. What's the big deal?

Also, I so desperately want to do that but I fear it is not a hobby for big lumbering clods like myself.

Claims of this nature almost always turn out to be intentional lies, gross misunderstanding of how the program is used, or the result of extremely unusual circumstances.  So yeah, thanks for coming out.

If it's a serious fracture, your waiting time will be how ever long it takes you to get to the doctor's office. Your willful ignorance of the Canadian medical system is astonishing.

Just opened? Jesus, that place has been there for at least 15 years. It's attached to one of the climbing gyms.
It's mostly secretaries and admin assistants who go to try it out once (sorta like parachuting), and wannabe gay men who feel in their heart of hearts that they missed out on the big tent, resplendent in their bright pink tights.
Not much love lost between the climbers and the flyers, I must say.

It depends on how long it takes for the amberlamps to take you to Sacré-Coeur. Unless Felipe Massa just crashed in the tires on the F1 circuit, you should be chatting with one of Montreal's best ER docs in less than 10-15 minutes.

Well, you have to admit it's gone from "I can't afford it, so I'll take the best care of myself and avoid dangerous activities" to "I have to make room in my budget or the government is going to take more of the money I don't have enough of". At least if you're not in the range to be fully covered by subsidies.

And that's the polite version. The long form version involves references to heritages, old fashioned labor relations, and ownership by corporations devoted to keeping their % slice of the ever growing pie.

Yeah, but he got Obamacare in the headline so it doesn't matter. Because Obamacare. Subby threadjacked his own thread before the Boobies and some foolish mod let him get away with it. That's pure genius.

Because Obamacare. Just mention the word and everyone goes apeshiat. It's the ultimate troll word on Fark. And subby got it greenlit,

Wonder when "jumped the Fark" becomes a thing.

So if you are making enough to afford insurance, but chose not to purchase, assuming you are not a multimillionaire I ask that you politely roll up and die. Sorry, but declaring bankruptcy and having the hospital and those who have insurance eat up the costs is not a sustainable health care system.
