(Page Six)   Turns out that Ben Stein, 69, of Ferris Bueller fame, is really creepy. "My main obsessions in my life are my wife, my dog, my son and his family, my secret GF from Mississippi, and any beautiful girl I meet. I am like a teenager. I get mad crushes"   (pagesix.com) divider line 90

*ROARS LAUGHING*  Ben Stein is considered to be one of the smartest people on this planet.  I fully believe he texted exactly what he said- I also believe that the article's author is a dumbass and I can prove it too.

You're 69, rich, retired, you're interviewed,,,,why not troll some people?  Stir up some controversy just because?

Because FARK YOU LIBERALS FOR FALLING FOR IT!

By Jimmy Kimmel, maybe.

He's always been like that. He had a column on E! online called "Monday Night at Morton's" and he'd open every. single. column. with a description of a beautiful hooker hanging out at the bar.  Every one.  It was slightly skeevy, but you always got the impression he was more of an incorrigible flirt than anyone threatening.  He'd buy them drinks while waiting for his dinner companion to show up and then go off with the rest of the column.

I am fine with this openness. What I can't stand is this "It's only okay when Republicans do it"

"We have a Democratic party that worships (not likes, WORSHIPS) a man named Bill Clinton who did not send suggestive e-mails as far as we know, but who had a barely legal intern give him oral sex kneeling under his desk in the Oval Office while he talked on the phone to a Congressional Committee Chairman, took great pleasure in putting a cigar in her orifice and then smelling it and tasting it, and having her fellate him when in the sacred seat of power of the world's leading Republic. And the Democrats cheer themselves hoarse for him. His wife has a great shot at being our next President."-Ben Stein.

Huh, he describes that in almost lascivious detail.  I can almost picture him typing that one handed whilst giving 'little Ben' some attention under the desk.

He's brilliant. I've heard him speak highly of his wife and refer to her as a saint for putting up with him many times. he admires beauty and he is honest about it, nothing wrong with that.

Maybe a tiny bit creepy, but not really creepy.

OTOH, my mother had a friend for years and years who was like that (they were both married and the couples were friends). He never came on to me or her as far as I know, so I didn't care. Then my mother told me much later that he cheated on his wife all the time. She'd caught him once banging a young woman in the backroom at his pharmacy. He had a sleeping bag there and everything.

I still liked him but it kind of changed the way I looked at him, you know what I'm saying?

Being a creationist is more forgivable with an ignorant person, or a person with a low IQ. If Stein is as intelligent as some would have us believe, then he's hopelessly blinded by his ideology/theology. If a person is so massively wrong on a subject such the evolution of life on Earth, I cannot take their opinions on other topics seriously.

2014-07-04 04:01:16 PM
Speechwriter for Nixon, creationist, and he had his own game show for a while. We already knew he was a weirdo.

2014-07-04 04:07:54 PM
Going back a few years, he was on Bill Maher's old show, Politically Incorrect, and was accusing Bill Clinton of being the most corrupt president in history. One of the panel, or maybe Maher himself, incredulously pointed out that he (Stein) had once worked for the Nixon administration!

2014-07-04 04:11:37 PM
He hit on a friend of mine back when we were in high school. He walked up to her on the sidewalk flashing hundred dollar bills in both hands making some joke about Benjamins. At the time I thought he was joking but now I'm not sure.

/to be fair the girl was pretty hot in high school.

The only reason Ben Stein is even a little famous is because of his father.

Herbert Stein was smart. Ben Stein is a schmuck.

After a family member had some contact with Stein I concluded he was the most self loathing guy on the planet. So at least we could agree on something.

I fondly recall Hitchens greeting him at the start of some debate by wishing him good health and long life, actually two or three long lives, as that was what it would take to live down the ignominy of his work as a Nixon henchman.

I thought he was pretty smart when he had his own game show, yeah. Turns out that he actually just has a good memory for trivia. As soon as he released that movie in support of so-called "intelligent design", I knew he wasn't very smart at all.

Trailltrader: FARK YOU LIBERALS FOR FALLING FOR IT!

That's a very mature attitude, Skippy. It's no wonder our country isn't getting anywhere when half the government is made up of people who have "fark you liberals" as their guiding principle.

Whatever. Kissenger hits on young women all the time and he's nearly 90. Stein is shiat. Kissenger, however, I like. The old school.

He was one of the experts who mocked Peter Schiff, the one economist who was predicting the sub prime crash and the huge crash. Stein was still recommending buying shares in the banks and stockbrokers.

Bolded because it needs to be emphasized what his whole career has led to, being remembered for being a right wing whacko.

But yep, he once compared scientists to nazis and terrorists because they supported real science like evolution over fairy tales like "Intelligent Design."

I'd love to know if he followed his own advice and bought shares in the big financials. Or did he really know what was going to happen and was just trying to get lots of suckers to but so he could bail out without loosing too much?
