BTO and Joni Mitchell also belong ahead of Rush. There's an argument to be made that The Band and Triumph both belong ahead of Rush, but that's not indisputable like the first two I mentioned.

I've seen every one of those except Joni Mitchell and Bryan Adams.

Since it's "classic rock", the list passes.
If not, it fails without The Hanson Brothers AKA Nomeansno.

Rush shouldn't even be number 2. They had a couple decent songs, but were never really that popular, I can't say I've ever met anyone who was a "Rush fan".

Jeebus, what is it with you farkers and Rush? Musically they're ok, but Geddy's vocals grate on my freaking nerves almost as bad as a cat yowling in heat.

I really want to like Rush but Geddy Lee's voice annoys the shiat out of me.

wouldve voted rush number 1 but meh.. neil has been at it longer and probably appeals to a wider audience. I take big issue with loverboy being on there at all though..

farking embarassment.

BTO? Please! If I never hear "Takin' Care of Business" again in my lifetime, I will die happy. One of the most over-rated bands of 70s, hands down.

However, she did give Jaco Pastorius work when no one else would, so she's OK in my book.

I don't know why
