And that's three more NY political corruption cases in the past three days.

Back on Friday a Democratic assemblywoman got kicked out of office after being found guilty of marriage fraud (see? they don't ALL take bribes) and today a Republican senator got indicted for lying to the FBI.

Preet Bharara is getting more time at the mic than Chuck Schumer and Jay-Z combined.

He obtained a whole sectional when he rifled through Bloomberg's love seat? How big is that love seat?

GOP consultants used to just steal from Republicans. Guess they decided to branch out to independents.

A GOP consultant was called out in the headline, how you feel that reflects on the entirety of the GOP is up to your personal sense of persecution.  Feel free to post a thread about whatever other topic you're on about, maybe it'll get a green.

A 1 to 4 year sentence for stealing $750,000. And he is out of jail during the appeal.
No 5 to 10 for robbing the corner liquor store for this guy.
When it comes to crime, think big.

Mmm... yes, well, try to stay positive and not think of the GOP's chronic self-inflicted misfortune as God's insinuation that He hates you, personally.

That's because it's not the R part that's corrupt, it's the -NY part.

How farking stupid do you have to be to steal from the one New York politician who made his billions in the financial-data industry? There's a couple hundred morons in the state legislature who can barely fog a mirror unless there's a press conference to do. He could've stolen from them, but this guy goes after the guy with the tallest mountain of fark-you money - the one guy in the state who's NOT on the take.

750k$ from Bloomberg? That's prob about 4 hours of income.

No way, man - Bloomberg is like Smaug. Somebody filches half a bale of hay from the stables where his daughter keeps her dressage horses, he knows about it and exacts his vengeance.

Except he didn't really steal it. Bloomberg paid him the money to do underhanded BS around election time. This guy just didn't deliver the goods and Bloomberg called foul. What was lost in the whole mess was Bloomberg paying these clowns to do BS in the first place.

They should both be in jail

You can steal $750,000 in Illinois and still get elected to the House of Reps.  Granted, he went to jail before his second term would have started, but he did get 80% of the vote under indictment.

$1.2 M for a security operation? The article was pretty light on details.
