I actually knew that.  But this guy would have been a more obvious choice:

It clearly says Iron Man is from Long Island, NY, and yet the dot on the map is clearly on NYC.

If you mean the original Excalibur with Captain Britain and Nightcrawler, about $7-$10 if it's in near mint condition.

I amazed myself with how many I knew. I didn't realize I retained that much info on Marvel characters from decades ago.

Yeah that's the one: in their own monthly series because "you demanded it!"

Who was demanding this?

The Marvel database has her place of birth as Morocco.

Hey, any girl who can go toe-to-toe with Dr. Doom and Wolverine is OK in my (comic) book.

You didn't know that Port Huron is a cybernetic hotspot?
Where else would you expect a killer zombie cyborg to be from? Petoskey? As if.

Unless they changed her origin story recently? no the line should point to *mumble*, Africa.  They could have attached Black Panther to the same line.

I got the "trade paperback" style introduction to the team and then the first couple of years of the series run. I like the Alan Davis art and most of the characters. Was always a NightCrawler fan, hell I got his 4-shot limited series somewhere too.

Apparently a few things have changed in the small number of years I quit reading comic books.

In name only; despite what that map shows, both Creskill and Patterson are practically suburbs of New York. Any land within a 20-mile radius of NYC has been ceeded to them in all but name. They don't want to be from Joisey, and we don't want the Manhattan arse-kissers anyway.

Sweet, I had a cover of Classic X-Men with her on the cover, legs splayed wide open, toward viewpoint, and she had really, really huge tits. It was a pretty amateurish cover compared to others in the same series.

He's from the Harlan County Reservoir in Nebraska.  He denies it of course.

Um...me. I was. I got into the X-Men around issue #180, and Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde and Rachel Summers were three of my best "gateway" characters into the story. They all got knocked out of the X-Men around the same time (210-ish), and I really didn't like the new characters they brought in nearly as much (Dazzler, Longshot and pre-ninja Psylocke). I didn't like how dark and gritty the X-Men became post Mutant Massacre.

Then Excalibur showed up. My three favorites were back in a book, and Captain Britain and Megan were ok characters, Claremont was writing fluffy stories, which was nice, and the Alan Davis artwork was much better than Silvestri's crap in Uncanny. It was a fun book, with fun characters for the first thirty issues or so. It kind of went downhill after that, in the dark times we refer to as "the 90s". But those first few years that book was way more fun than any of the other X-books.

It says Storm was born in New York City but I seem to remember she's an African orphan who stole to survive on the streets

I have the exact same story, except my first issue was #188. Otherwise, EXACT SAME.
