If they each represent their country's idea of beauty as unsuccessfully as the one for the United States, this is worthless.

2014-06-27 12:05:39 AM
It would have been funnier if the Italy one had been for Mexico.

So, what we learned is that there are some folks across the globe who are pretty damn bad at Photoshop then...

2014-06-27 12:37:45 AM
USA could have put a little more effort into this.

Yea, that might be one of the dumbest things I've seen on the internet in a long time.  And I read Daily Mail a lot.

I think the Serbia and Pakistan (surprisingly) versions are the best, but the original looks better than most of them.

2014-06-27 01:14:39 AM
United States actually rotated her eyes a bit. FAIL.

2014-06-27 01:17:00 AM
She's quite beautiful in the original. No 'Shooping needed.

Bob Falfa: She's quite beautiful in the original. No 'Shooping needed.

I totally agree. The rest of those don't improve her.

That said, she looks vaguely Israeli/Lebanese/Egyptian.

Man, no amount of Photoshopping was going to help.

Beautiful girl, interesting shoop.

This was bullshiat.

Business Insider should stick to articles about how President Obama is going to put us all in FEMA reeducation camps.

How did they manage to find the worst photoshopper in the United States?

2014-06-27 03:57:35 AM
Kenya looks like a monkey's ass.

2014-06-27 03:59:25 AM
I have to second photo shopping all on its own so everyone can let her know what tweets think then send her the wining shop

2014-06-27 03:59:25 AM
She looks best in the first I thought. What I got out of the article: some women look good without all the shiat on.

2014-06-27 03:59:28 AM

UsikFark: Kenya looks like a monkey's ass.

And they didn't do a great job photoshopping her, either.

2014-06-27 03:59:59 AM
She already fits the classic concept of beauty for most of Europe and the US.

The one for Indonesia scared the crap out of me, though. Apparently some Indonesian dude likes his women translucent and anemic, and doused in a halogen spotlight.

Oh, and USA kinda looks like Kristen Stewart to me.

Atomic Spunk: Photoshop artists in Vietnam are lazy, apparently.

I had to compare the original and that one side by side. trying to find the difference.

I think the skin tone was altered, but that could have just been because the vietnam photoshop was on an external monitor and the original was on my laptop and they display colors slightly differently

So, I guess this is the standard of beauty that is held up every time an American says "Yeah, British hot" in a derisory fashion?

I was actually just thinking the Vietnam one was the best, it was so very subtle. Just some cleansing of the facial features and a bit of accentuation to make the eyes stand out.

It really is drilled into people's heads, isn't it?
This is why we have something as stupid as the Fat Acceptance movement.

Admittedly I am not good at this sort of thing-- despite the pixels and having seen quite a few shops in my time-- but I was hard pressed to see the changes in more than a few of them.

Granted I'm also looking at this on mobile. But mainly I'm just bad at detecting 'shoops.

/also bad at seeing family resemblances

It helps that she's got great features to begin with.

I was surprised at how few designers changed her hair.

I call BS on the Israeli version - she might be tan, but there is a definite prejudice here for lighter hair. And they would probably have added a couple of tattoos and piercings, as well.

2014-06-27 04:47:36 AM
They're mostly trolling.  The US version is, Bangladesh looks like she's been crying, India just put some really bad eyebrows on.  No, that's not India being cultural, that's an Indian graphic artist trolling - look at Bollywood for that India likes, and compare to this.
Pretty sure Israel is trolling too.

I actually like the Pakistan, The Philippines, and Serbia versions.
