I submitted this with an FWC style headline and it got shot down. WOMP WOMP

I predict that Adam Silver's handshake sends Marcus Smart collapsing to the floor looking for a foul.

My Spurs hope for this year is Love does NOT get dealt, becomes an UFA next Summer and SAS signs him to replace Duncan after he retires and we are set at PF for next 10 years.

Sixers will trade 3 and 10 to Cleveland for 1 and take Wiggins. Then they will trade MCW to the Lakers for the 7th pick and take Steve Nash's contract off their hands. They will draft Smart with 7. Then they will package a number of their second rounders to jump up intl late first to take Saric to stash away til he is done in Turkey

Spurs draft 30th. I'm predicting... an international player.

2014-06-26 06:04:12 PM
My prediction:
Cavs- Parker
Bucks-Wiggins
Sixers-Exum
Magic-Embiid
Jazz-White Guy

This is such a weird draft. Like, for 2 years it's been "The most loaded draft ever!"

I mean, it's loaded, but no one looks like a super star. Just looks like it produce a lot of All Star guys.

There are probably more good players in this draft than in the past five years at least, but no LeBrons.

That's a bluff by the 76ers to see who the Cavs are taking.  At least I hope it is.
Sixers - Embid and hopefully Mcbuckets

Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum, Smart, Vonleh

Yeah, I think you can get all star caliber guys all the way down to 15-16, but I don't think the guys that will go at 1-2 are actually leaps and bounds better than the guys going at 15-16

I see Supercampion is all over this thread. Who you targeting for your Spurs?

Lost Thought 00: Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum, Smart, Vonleh

What is a list of 6 players the Cav's won't take with the number 1 pick?

Which is dangerous, since it's a non-trivial difference in salary between those spots

I don't get Noah Vonleh, he has the raw athleticism, but he isn't a great basketball player. My friends who went to IU were so confused he came out.

I'd actually be more comfortable picking from 12-17 in this draft than up top.

Precious Roy's Horse Dividers: Simmons sucks on TV

He's bad on jump around coverage like this. I love him on the NBA pregame show when it's a flowing conversation.

2014-06-26 07:13:03 PM
Bill Simmons is one questionable pick away from becoming the white Stephen A. Smith. This oughta be fun.

Parker pimping his modesty

2014-06-26 07:16:28 PM
Nice suit Wiggins

2014-06-26 07:17:11 PM
I'd still take Embiid 1st 10 out of 10 times. I think his frame is strong enough to hold up and once he's on the floor it's over. He doesn't have a Greg Oden body with mismatched limbs. Having a player miss his first year isn't the end of the world.

Clippers aren't fretting about Blake's lost rookie season.

/As a Wiz fan I am Though. Had he played in the year he was drafted Wall would have gotten RoY.

Lost Thought 00: Parker pimping his modesty

He actually is a modest kid. Being an MSU alum I followed his recruitment closely and all that was ever said was modest, intelligent, not looking for the spotlight, wanted a family type atmosphere.

2014-06-26 07:18:52 PM

my lip balm addiction: Chris Broussard is talking, he must be lying.

He's just reporting stuff everyone knew an hour ago and claiming it as his own scoop. Nothing to see from him.

1) Cleveland - Mario Chalmers, G, Miami Heat.
2) Milwaukee - Trades #2 to pick to Cleveland for Mario Chalmers, Cleveland drafts Mario Chalmers, G, Miami Heat a second time.
3) Philadelphia - Immediately announces lawsuit against the league rules that prohibit a player from playing for more than one time, drafts Mario Chalmers, G, Miami Heat.

2014-06-26 07:19:06 PM

EvilMonkeyBoy: I'd still take Embiid 1st 10 out of 10 times.

Not even looking at the injury, I think he's the only guy in the draft with true super star potential.

OK, so how long will the ESPN radio and web feed be behind the TV feed tonight? The NFL draft was worthless on radio

2014-06-26 07:21:13 PM
Picking a player because of where he's from, at least in the top half of the draft, seems completely idiotic

Manziel! DRINK!

I think they are going euro or trade out for more 2nds. That'd be my guess!

2014-06-26 07:25:17 PM
If the Cavs were smart they'd take Wiggins, but since they're the Cavs they'll probably choose someone like Lola Bunny or, worse yet, Jabari Parker.

llortcM_yllort: If the Cavs were smart they'd take Wiggins

No smart team is taking Wiggins. A kid who passes up shots in college is not destined for NBA stardom. He took 6 shots in the final game of his college career. 6.

2014-06-26 07:27:26 PM
Word in town is that Dan Gilbert wants Wiggins, the gm wants Parker

Both of these are very good reasons to not take Wiggins.  Especially the second one.  Maybe I'm wrong about him.

2014-06-26 07:29:53 PM
Who does that homeless guy want?

2014-06-26 07:30:24 PM
Teams can only trade players after they are drafted at this point, right? No more pick swapping?

2014-06-26 07:30:42 PM
The future is bright for the first three picks! Living in Cleveland, Milwaukee and Philadelphia!

2014-06-26 07:32:12 PM

llortcM_yllort: Maybe I'm wrong about him.

He was a hit or miss player all year, but he would just pass on opportunities if he was cold or a little off, and that's never a good look. The NBA isn't played that way.

The only popular commissioner ever.

That is the nicest reception I've ever seen for a commish. Silver is a ninja master.

Oh boy. They're starting to WHAT him.

2014-06-26 07:34:14 PM
The fans should cheer the hell out of Silver all night and boo the next guy for lulz and as a big FU to Stern.
