Or maybe we should stop making the heroin addict look into the fashion ideal! Solve the problem at the source!

She just wanted a chance for her mugshot to go viral.

On a related note, I started a campaign to get these re-instated.

Greatest Pop-Tarts of all time.

I've been to grocery stores high as a kite before. I ended up with a cart full of junk food that I regretted eating later, but at least I didn't shoplift the stuff.

Also, look at this poor girl:

thenypost.files.wordpress.com

She goes beyond "sharp knees" to "sharp everything" just because of the fashion industry's messed-up views on what is chic and in style. Who even runs the fashion industry anyway? Buncha lousy jerks, that's who.

"[A security guard] observed the defendant remove one cake, three boxes of Pop-Tarts, two boxes of cake mix and several other items from a shelf and conceal the items inside the defendant's purse and pockets," the complaint said.

Well no wonder she got caught. That stuff weighs more than she does. Nah, just kidding. She's a klepto.

I don't know how much of a model she could be--that is the only picture that comes up with a GIS of her name. Maybe she is starving.

The only thing worse than being talked about badly is not being talked about at all.

I had a high school friend who used to shoplift all the time. The one item he refused to 'lift were Pop-Tarts because he loved them so much and didn't want to hurt their bottom line.

My god, she's so thin that even a lifesaver in one of her pockets would have been as obvious as an outdoor barbecue down an average-sized person's pants.

Not surprised she got caught - she should have just turned sideways and eaten the food right there in the store; no one would have seen her.

I think the hovering Poptart box would draw some attention.

About 20 years ago, my home town swept a scandal under the rug. A woman who owned a restaurant and was the wife of a judge, got caught sticking frozen foods in her purse at a local grocery store. The story made the paper once and then was never spoken of again.

2014-06-26 08:04:41 PM
Wow, so much judgment in that article and in the comments because she is thin.
I mean its not even newsworthy or noteworthy, if she had a different body type, this would not even be mentioned.

I don't think 'supermodel' is the operative word.

Supermodels are in demand and work nonstop until they get old and are tossed aside.

This girl has less than a handful of modeling assignments under her belt.

Fashion designers want skeleton models because they are displaying what their clothes look like on a hanger on a rack, not what it will look like on a human.  women seem to want what they see in their hands held in front of them in a mirror rather than what the outfit really looks like.  it is sad.

Nah. Hangers have wider shoulders than that...

My guess is she was embarrassed to be seen purchasing junk food, or possibly food in general.  It's not that surprising really.

Remember, "shoplift" goes in quotes when it's are rich person doing it.  No danger of anyone suffering real consequences for their crime in that case.

Because most women fantasize looking like this when they walk down the street.

Her and Pinocchio would make a great couple.  She just needs to get the nose to grow a bit.  But, that shouldn't be a problem.

Having an eating disorder can fark with a person's brain in a way that will make them fail to realize things like "stealing is bad".

Well, when one of your features is up to caricature proportions, it becomes pretty easy to point out.

The good thing is, if you get caught you can always fashion one into a gun and blast your way out.

You know you have an eating disorder when you're so ashamed of eating a sugary treat, that you'd rather steal it than pay for it with the platinum card in your five hundred dollar purse.

/Her community service should be a PSA on anorexia.

She's probably been hungry since she was old enough to grow boobs. I think we should cut her some slack.

Conniff's lawyer, Thomas Kenniff, called the bust a misunderstanding.
"There was no finding of guilt against my client. There's no reason to think this was anything more than a misunderstanding. She will go on to live a law-abiding life as she has always done," he said.

And this is why no one likes lawyers...  even after pleading the case out in court , you still can lie about the results ..

Jail for stealing poptarts? Not farking likely. That's a quote from someone with no experience in our legal system. Where I'm from, crap that small gets you restitution, a tiny fine or a day of community service, and a (for most people) see ya next time. Hell, its rare people even get picked up on bench warrants if they ignore the orders.

With the way models get done up and how rarely their names are likely mentioned, it seems like it'd be fairly easy for her to be unrecognizable on google searches. Hell some runway shows have models just wearing bags on their heads.

Seeing how she's not had any notable work since a 2012 fashion show I doubt she's rich. Whatever money she made from that has probably dwindled away given how expensive it is to live in NYC.

Shoplift pop tarts. Shoplift pop tarts.  Shoplift pop tarts.  Shoplift pop tarts.  Shoplift pop tarts.  Shoplift pop tarts.  Shoplift pop tarts.  Shoplift pop tarts.  Shoplift pop tarts.

It's fun to say!

Supermodels. Heh! Nothing super about them... spoiled, stupid little stick figures with poofy lips who think only about themselves. Feh!

If it's not on CourtTV in three months it didn't happen. I WANT A TRIAL. I will eat peanutbutter-filled pretzels, mozarella sticks, and buttercream beer floats, and I will watch.

Also, her left cheek is fat. Get that under control. I'm disgusted, have some dignity.

She's probably one of those models that makes her money posing for catalog photos.  She won't get rich, but she won't starve... at least not involuntarily.

I imagine she just didn't want to be seen buying fattening foods.

I don't know, but I don't think so.
Catalog models are generally not super pretty (but certainly not ugly, deformed or obese), or extreme in any way from what I've seen.
They are there to imply what the 'every day' woman like look like wearing their outfits.

If you shoplift it, it has no calories. Like breaking a cookie leaks the calories.
