Issa, go back home and crawl under a rock.

Go on, slither back.

Worthless piece of crap, wasting time and money.

Darrell Issa is the guy who would post a job looking for developers with 10 years of experience with SQL Server 2012.

2014-06-25 04:21:46 PM
OK - Issa is an ass, yes, but he requested all communications from 1986-2014.  He did specifically say, "including emails".  I think we can safely assume he meant the email stipulation to apply to the that portion of the range for which there are email communications, plus all communications otherwise that are available.

But he's still an ass.

Whoever is doing the doc review for the 1980s emails will have a pretty light workload.

2014-06-25 04:24:21 PM
Yeah, this isn't a farking fishing expedition at all.

2014-06-25 04:28:55 PM
While I agree generally with what Benevolent Misanthrope notes, the fact that Issa is an asshole cannot be overstated enough.

Next: Issa demands Lerner hand over all  cuneiform tablets from her term as high priestess of Uruk

Lois Lerner must produce an accurate record of all her menses, including dates, duration and heaviness of flow.

2014-06-25 04:40:42 PM
That's hilarious. Did you see that thing the other day where Issa told IRS Commissioner John Koskinen to raise his hand higher when swearing in? I really think he's losing it. He's gone full Ahab.

2014-06-25 04:44:19 PM

James!: Lois Lerner must produce an accurate record of all her menses, including dates, duration and heaviness of flow.

If the esteemed gentleman from California wants to read about a bloody, half-formed zygote that causes nothing but misery while its around and nothing but happiness when it leaves, I suggest he read this.

Why would you ask for something like this?

Because then you can say, "They aren't cooperating with the investigation. They haven't given us access to all the documents we've requested. What are they hiding?

Why wont she produce her Cubs World Series tickets?

Why wont she show us Justin Bieber's Grammy Award ?

The administration is already not cooperating with him. Lerner took the Fifth.

Who knows what his cracked brain thinks he'll accomplish.

However, if she has emails from then...I think we can safely assume that she is a lizard person in cahoots with Obama.

Email or not, what organization keeps routine communications from 30 years ago?

The government! The last few months I been sorting thru boxes of various correspondence and payroll files from the late 50's thru the 60's.  for an unnamed government agancy. It's being moved from one warehouse to another where it will sit untouched for another 50 years.

Yes - you'd be surprised the retention schedule on some of these things.  And the lack of adherence to the "destroy" part of the schedule.  Of course, whatever has been destroyed ("Cake in the break room!") will feed into the GOP Outrage Machine and help perpetuate the cycle, so there's that.

"The subpoena gives Goodman until July 7 to turn over all of Lerner's correspondence from the past 28 years."

Well that certainly sounds realistic.

2014-06-25 07:02:18 PM
Lerner worked for the FEC from 1981 through 2001, but it's unclear why her correspondence from the mid-1980s would have any bearing on the current controversy surrounding her 2012 role in the IRS targeting tea party groups trying to secure tax-exempt status.

So that when some of the email is not available he can scream that it's being withheld from his investigation. He is just trying to make so much smoke people think there is a fire.

2014-06-25 07:03:19 PM
Miss Lerner, we noticed you have a significant amount of emails covering happy cats, could you explain what Mr. Whiskers in your e-mail dated 4/11/04 implies about your role in the targeting of IRS groups and how it might implicate the current President?

The problem is is that Issa isnt any good at his witch-hunts. This pretty much showed that Issa has no damn clue about anything.

Yeah but the rubes who vote for him won't care. They will see him just attacking people from the Obama administration. They couldn't care less if it makes sense or not.

My first office job was in 1988 (Prudential) and they already had an intra-company email system. Couldn't send/receive email to customers, but could email anyone within the company. That wasn't anything new.

Darryl Issa is still a colossal moran.

Sadly you are correct. Its a shame that people like him and the voters only care about winning. Who cares about climate change? We need to work on another ObamaCare repeal!

Think about how much your life would suck every day if you were Darrell Issa?  I think one look in the mirror and finding no soul there at all I would have to throw myself off a really tall building somewhere.  Into heavy traffic.  Like a bulldozer parade or something.  That's a thing, right?

Wow, the republicans really have nothing at all, do they.

It'd be funny, but they'll all get re-elected.  That makes it sad.

Asbestos litigation routinely digs up old communications. I remember working at a firm in law school where I was finding memos from 1943

I was using email on the old Arpanet by the mid '70s. In the 80s I was also using it on Compuserve. Some people can't imagine that there was life, much less technology, before their birth.

He's a known car thief, probable arsonist and possible murderer. Perfectly qualified to be a Conservative member of the House of Representatives.

So to comply with this request, pretty much everyone in the IRS would have to search their correspondences (paper, electronic, cuneiform clay tablets, etc.)for her name. The same goes for all the archivists that the IRS has. Massive numbers of temp workers would no doubt be required.

After this, all of those correspondences would have be scrutinized and taxpayer information redacted. That leviathan task would probably require a massive number of workers as well.  Then all of this would be loaded on pallets and sent to Issa's committee? I cannot imagine the cost of such an operation.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that this has to do with this tale told by Al Salvi that Lerner attempted to strong-arm him in the 90s in the Illinois Senate race. The right sure loves a boogeyman. They're turning Lerner into the political Kaiser Soze. Soon, we'll hear how she murdered Vince Foster.

When Republicans spend money on stupid crap it is righteous. But when Democrats spend money on things that improve peoples lives then its not evil.

Hypocritical assholes

The name "Lois Lerner" will soon be spoken only in hushed whispers, and no one will dare state the name three times whilst looking in a mirror.

A wannabe Torquemada, a second rate McCarthy, and a whining shiatsack of a human being.

Are we supposed to assume that Lois Lerner and Barack Obama hatched this conspiracy in the middle of the Reagan administration?  Because it's pretty clear that's what conservatives think.
