It's not the size of the equation, it's how you use it.

OK, apparently I can't embed the link, but this is the cleartext url (with spaces after each /):

This is math in very much the same way that spelling a word in alphabet soup is creative writing.

Well it does involve a little algebraic geometry of the type that made René Descartes famous as a mathematician - doing geometry not with a straight edge and compass but instead by solving equations.

However the field of Algebraic Geometry has progressed far beyond that point and the math used in much of computer graphics is taught in high school.

I feel these gifs are the results of having done math. They are not math gifs. This is a math gif: link.

Math isn't supposed to be complicated. One of the most famous natural formations is simple math.

I understand the concept. My point is simply that these do not show the math. They show the result of math having been done and call it math. That's like saying a video game is a playable math demo. Without math, there is no video game, but once you get to the game, the math is invisible.

Deceptive geometry GIF is deceptive.
The sharpest angle of the green triangle is 20.556 degrees. The sharpest angle of the triangle made of the green and orange appearing to be 5 and 13 on the sides would be 21.038. Therefore the pieces do not fit together as the graphic depicts.
In other words arcsin(3/sqrt(82+32)) ≠ arcsin(5/sqrt(132+52))

That's crazy. You aren't supposed to add letters. That's like, "How many is green?"

True. A better way to show that would be to zoom in on the "touching" lines to show the gaps. The most surprising part for me is that the gaps add up to a full unit. Deceptive or not, that's a math gif.
