All that Amnesty International has to say is

"Anytime I want I got a right to say,
No matter what they say,
Said anytime I want I got a right to say,
No matter what they say..."

What dicks. I'm going to go out and torture an orphan right now just to show them!

That was funny. Maybe Iggy needs to learn how to take a joke.

He's been kind of a dick his whole life, from what I understand. That isn't going to change all of a sudden.

If Iggy Pop said that all I could add would be to say sad but true.

Iggy: It's a helluva drug

Funny that they're apologizing to Iggy but not to Bieber.

Maybe one of the largest NGO's in the world should know that they can't just go around using someone's name and likeness without their permission.

I'm sure he would have been cool with it had they come to him but they didn't. I don't know if personality rights are like copyrights (in that you have to enforce them or you lose them) but Iggy's absolutely right to call them on it.

Depends... Parody is protected free speech. Just ask Larry Flynt.

Not always and not everywhere.  It's not the same state to state let alone in different countries.  Furthermore, the Flynt ad was itself the parody, so it was content not an ad.  Actual advertisements are totally different kettle of fish.

I'd like to think if they'd have asked Iggy for permission he's would have said yes because fark Justin Beiber.

I think that was the punchline.

To be honest all bieber needs to do now is OD and that statement is bang on the money.

But he does want Beiber to be his dog.

A dog makes a fine passenger.

I find Justin Beiber's music to be torture.

I've always called him "Icky Poop".  Da Beibz is much less likeable.

What's an NGO, please?

What say the odds are that Iggy had nothing to do with the apology? That it was just someone in Iggy's camp being a bit overzealous?

slotz: What's an NGO, please?

Non-Government Organization.
(aka international do-gooders)
