It was probably cooked after he got to brazil but imagine fish and curry rotting in the passenger area for a 19 hour plane ride,  that would be brutal.

They farking love spicy food. The national dish is an overly-spiced chicken curry.

It might not be the best idea to base your assumptions about a country on jokes you saw on the Simpsons.

Northern Indian food is the greatest cuisine on Earth, with Southern Indian being a close second, followed by (good) Tex-Mex and then, after a fairly big gap, the blanket "Middle Eastern" cuisine with a dash of Greek in there.
