Lived to be 98.

Married to the same woman for 66 years.

Was a pioneer of one of the most innovative artistic movements (Method Acting) of the 20th Century.

Gave iconic performances in some of the most iconic movies ever made.

And only ever got a damn honorary Oscar?

PhDemented: RexTalionis: One of my favorite of his later works was his appearance as an old comedy writer on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

That was great.

98, Hell of a long life, good on him.

He was also married for 66 years.

God speed man.

Was it always though? I always wondered that.

And here is kind of an answer

http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Good,_The_Bad,_and_The_Ugly,_The

Oh the one hand:  that is some impressive research.

On the other:  somebody had WAY too much time on their hands.

I am sometimes amazed by the generosity of people on the internet. I am sometimes amazed by what people will do to avoid actual work.

We both pay $5 a month to Fark.

Nothing like this should shock us.

That's a damn good point.

aa-AA-aa-AA-aaaaaaaaaaah!

And just like in "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" Clint Eastwood is the last man standing.

Technically, Tuco was the last man standing.  Blondie was sitting on a horse. Angel eyes was lying dead in a grave.

Always liked this scene...I'm sure it inspired the equivalent scene in The Terminator (although the idea of assembling a working revolver from the pieces/parts of different makes and manufacturers is completely bogus).

I always loved that exchange in GBU. it brought humanity to Tuco.

Yup.  Wallach's character was human, unlike Eastwood and Van Cleef's characters which were robotic killing machines.  Years ago a reviewer said of Wallach's character in GBU, "The Ugly is ugly because he's the most human."
