Wow, no mention of the "The English Patient". Kramer wanting to make Cuban cigars by Cubans was inspired greatness.

List fails without "The Betrayal"  - The infamous backwards episode.

"...El Presidente!"

One of the great lines.

I wonder if there will be any overlap with the 25 they keep showing on syndication over and over.

He's looking fine for 25, subby. I don't know what the big deal is

I've still never seen a single episode of Seinfeld.

Don't feel like I missed much.

16 years?  No. Not even close.

Hmm I think it's missing some but I'm not sure..

The one where Kramer has Japanese tourists sleeping in his dresser drawers
The one where Elaine has to clean out her storage room and Kramer adopts the highway and paints over half of the lane markers
The one where Kramer becomes addicted to kenny Rogers chicken
The summer of George

Came here for this!  Kenny Rogers Roasters is the greatest Seinfeld ever!

I also really like the one where Kramer takes boudoir photos of George.

Yeah, you could probably find 25 minutes of Seinfeld that didn't suck, if you worked at it.

Wait, 25 episodes? Oh, hell no.

2014-06-25 07:44:14 AM
Your mainstream show bores me. Besides it's a complete ripoff of a Korean public access show which translates to "Drywall Eels in Atrocity Trollycar Marshamallow Bunkbed." You've probably never heard of it, but when it was on, it was all I watched on the TV I don't have.

"Yankee Bean".

By whittled down, do we mean that all the episodes are lacking the five minutes usually trimmed for syndication? Because that drives me nuts watching old Simpsons eps where iI can remember a joke was there but I can't place it.

/"The Contest" is a classic
//"The Merv Griffin Show" was one of my top favorites

Hated Seinfeld.  And The Office.  Don't know how people find the banal asininity of those shows to be entertaining.  We all know "those" people, and have to deal with their inane obnoxious crap every day of our lives, why on earth would we want to watch them on television?  I go to TV to escape that shiat.

Best Korea.

The GF and I recently re-watched the entire run of the show. It still holds up today, one of the best sitcoms ever made. And the episodes connect much better than I remember, probably because so many of the episodes I saw out of order in syndication after the fact (except for the last few seasons which I watched as they aired). There are quite a few running jokes and callbacks that you don't quite pick up unless you watch them in order.

So I guess someone a Fark is feeling wistful and everything memorable from 25 years ago will be greenlit on Fark. And just for the record, though Michael Keaton's Batman came out 25 years ago, it wasn't the best one.

Double-dipped the chip.
Gold Jerry, gold.
Big thumb dance.
Elaine, that reminds me of the time I was in the Congo...
Licking stamps.
Puffy Shirt.
Junior Mints.
He's just in it for the jokes.
Mah-nooah.
Believe it or not, George isn't at home.

Apart from a few jokes that are made moot by cell phones, the only thing that dates it is Elaine's wardrobe.

There's the episode where George and Jerry sneak in to an apartment to switch out an answering machine tape with an embarrassing message...   But yes, the show is largely unscathed by the advance of technology.

Seinfeld's the only sitcom I'll stop and watch if I run across it. Almost every other sitcom, I can't believe I ever watched in the first place. And yes, most of the episodes wouldn't exist if only they all had cell phones. It's not like they didn't have cell phones in the 90s, they just chose to ignore them.
