(AZ Family)   Life can be pretty confusing when you're 16, and sometimes you just want to climb up the side of a mountain and get away from the world. But then you get stuck and your rescue gets aired on the nighttime news   (azfamily.com) divider line 22

Bonus: The girl could get down the mountain, but he couldn't.

It hasn't his day, his week, his month, or even his year.

So, he took a girl on a daring hike, telling her, "I'll show you this place, it's really dangerous, but I've been out there before." Then he gets stuck and she has to go for a rescue, complete with helicopters and news coverage.

I bet he gets grounded when he gets home too.

Charge this yamhead for the rescue.

Better still, mentioning how sliding rocks were a big concern, so much they sent someone rappeling down there to get the guy in a harness asap - right after you mention how you hovered a loud newscopter over the scene to watch the whole thing.

That's right Tom we're (thop thop thop!) live on the scene of an ongoing rescue in Air-News 5! (THOP THOP THOP!)  (Rumble rumble crunch smash.)  Ummm... well Tom...  (jump cut back to the studio.)  Avalanche claims local boy and rescue personnel, film at 11!

I don't think they could have put any more authority-speak in that article.

I hope you're right, the poor little farker. Zeus to zero in about one hour, and I doubt the heroine has a pity fark in mind after the cops and news cameras.

/other way around, she kinda has to. Maybe she is ugly and the tables are turned? Rescue the boy for the obligatory fark?

Lonestar: Was he stuck in a vagina?

Not with the slutty broads these days. Caverns, I'm told.

This story reminded me of a time when a guy did something similar to me. He told me that he take me on a great hike in the Grand Canyon, nobody went there (we both worked there.) And he did--right on the side of the canyon, on a crumbly ledge that wasn't more than a couple of feet wide. It wasn't even a trail. Well, I'm afraid of heights--not horrifically so, I'd hiked in the Canyon many times, but THAT place--I was so scared that I could barely take a step. People could see us from the main trail, and were stopping to point us out. I wasn't thrilled about that either, since I don't think it was legal to be where we were at. Or at least, it was very stupid. Meanwhile, he's walking up in front of me, saying "Come on, it's fine" and scampering around like a farking goat.

We got back fine, but I never went anywhere with that guy again.

why i left America reason #512:  news stories about "look at the idiot for pushing the envelope. he should have stayed home and watched pro sports on TV like normal fat people.  People who wear uniforms are always heroes.  That is all."

And to add: "I hope he has to pay for his rescue!" But no one says that, ever, for the numbnut who has to be extracted by the jaws of life because he was nattering away on his phone while driving, or for the 3-alarm response when he burns the neighborhood down deep-frying a turkey.

How did I know that it would not only be AZ, but the Phoenix area before even clicking on the link?

Because of the AZFamily logo next to the headline.

Nope, didn't even notice it. My point is that almost every "hiker rescued from the side of a mountain" story is in AZ. not "hiker LOST in the mountains" , just rescued off of the side.

People in AZ are farking stupid, the sun fries the brain.

Kind of like you are stupid for no seeing, or looking for, the AZFamily logo when you suspected that it happened in Arizona. Got it.

Wow, someone's sensitive.

Sorry, but AZ hasn't done anything noteworthy in decades. It's a sand-blasted shiathole where the biggest news is how the governor, legislators, general population, or the sheriff of the largest county has turned out to be a raging homophobic and xenohobic asshole.
