Yup. The ball didn't rise up a millimeter.

Good thing he pitched a lot better that day than he kicked.

I liked him in The 3 Amigos.

The author of TFA, and subby, evidently believe that Verlander intended to kick a ball in play out of any teammate's reach, possibly into the dugout.

When it comes to Verlander, I'm more worried about the Upton Effect.

Did he writhe on the ground for 10 minutes doing a Peter Griffin imitation? No, then not truly in the World Cup spirit was it?

Bernoulli's principle is involved, but the ball curving effect itself is named after Magnus.  But not this Magnus:

LOL. He totally trolled in interviews too:

Randle insisted he hadn't blown on the ball, that he merely pleaded with it. "I said please go foul, go foul," Randle said. "I did not blow on it. I just used the power of suggestion. How could they call it a hit? It was a foul ball."
