This has no connection whatsoever with our ongoing illegal immigration problem.  None.  All of these guys speak fluent English and just do this while they're waiting for their big break on Broadway.  They are all legitimate actors, not quasi-trafficking victims without papers.

As horrifying and potentially dangerous "Jew Hating Elmo" is, the ridiculousness of the clip makes it hilarious and a once a month watch for me on Youtube.

These cosplayers, like all cosplayers, really need to be dealt with. farking seriously.

Also, don't go to places where there are cosplayers. Chances are, it's not somewhere you want to be anyway,

While I can't disagree, I also have to say these aren't cosplayers. They're panhandlers in cheap costumes.

The hot ones are the worst. Opportunistic slutty broads looking to make money/gain fame on the backs of pathetic fans. Cons have been flat out ruined by these people.

I'm surprised the CRACKDOWN hasn't happened earlier. They are straight up disguises, and I thought Americans were got a bit testy about such things, post 9-11[?].

Something like a Spidey suit covers more skin than a burqa.

The NYPD needs to do something about those fake-ass "Buddhist Monks" scamming money in Times Square, too. I spent a couple weeks around there last month, and some of those guys were really aggressive and asshole-ish, blocking your path and getting right up in your face, not letting people pass. The costumed idiots were much easier to avoid.

Sometimes I miss the hookers and junkies, I swear.

I don't get the "Hot Fuzz greater good" image snark. What's wrong with the greater good?

It almost deserves its own internet law: "You post that pic, you lose the argument."

// not suggesting you were snarking in this particular instance, but it often gets posted as a "witty" reply

I'll own up to snark for snark sake, indeed.

The use of  'for the greater good' as snark is because it's the mantra used to justify every HOA-level whim of the conspirators.  That, and killing off human undesirables in town.

The latest alleged incident happened Friday night when a Spider-Man was arrested for allegedly groping a New Yorker, police said.
Moussa Rabaoui, 22, of Queens, is accused of grabbing a woman's breasts and backside after putting his arms around her. He was charged with misdemeanor forcible touching.

His spidey sense was "tingling" if yo know what I mean.

This probably has more to do with police paying attention to the area than any spike in illegal activity. Those guys are farking scumbags.

That's an old myth!  Times Square in the 70's was as safe as heck!
The 70's version of the Naked Cowboy would barely even get raped frequently.

I saw him ranting outside the Macy's Herald Square in December, 2012. At first I thought he was yelling at the Salvation Army bell-ringing lady but no, he was just yelling for whoever would listen. Creepy, yet fascinating.

Apparently people from NYC can't count.

Two statues of liberty, one spiderman and "another character" equals four people, not three.

In 2012, a man dressed as Elmo was arrested for allegedly launching into an anti-Semetic tirade.

It's illegal to launch into an anti-Semetic tirade?   Or just doing so while dressed as Elmo?

Dan Sandler (aka Adam Sandler) - dressed as the beloved "Sesame Street" character - was nabbed in September 2012, for blocking traffic and resisting arrest at W. 44th St. and Broadway, while shouting: "The Jews are responsible for everything that's wrong with the world! I hate the Jews!"  He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to community service.
He's currently serving one year at Riker's Island for grand larceny/harassment/stalking/attempting to extort $2 million from the Girl Scout organization. He accused them of running a prostitution ring.
