Is Mexican weed so much cheaper or better than local home-grown hydro that it merits risking smuggling?

Aquapope: Is Mexican weed so much cheaper or better than local home-grown hydro that it merits risking smuggling?

It is definitely  cheaper, but I have never heard of it being better. Usually it is crap dirt weed filled with stems and seeds.

Just spit-balling here, but I imagine it is easier to produce mass quantities of it down there and ship it up here than it is to just grow it here.

I wonder if they buried a handful of those under actual watermellons if they might have gotten through.

CBP agents at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey came across $52,000 worth of cocaine baked inside cookies

So that's how the Girl Scouts made their cookies so addictive.

Good.  Thats $500,000 worth of dangerous narcotics off the street!

risky to whom?  The cartel?  Nah...Losing weed is nothing to them.  It costs them next-to-nothing to produce--pure profit.  They'll give a guy a truck like this to drive as an "initation" test just to see if they might want to give the guy a job.  The "guy" is typically some guy with a 4th grade education who works on an avocado farm.  And when they wave more money than he can make in a year to just drive a truck over--a lot of them do it.

If they were disguised as children they might have a better chance.  Or maybe not...

Cheap Mexi-skank bud. Would have been more valuable as watermelons.

If you have to drive a truck laden with drugs and risk your freedom just to make ends meet then you know things are tough all over.  Now that the shipment is busted the profit just went up in smoke.

There's an amazingly racist and hilarious joke in here somewhere. Alas, I'm unable to find it.

What did the black guy smuggle...?
Too forced.
What's the difference between...
This could work.
How do you make a [adjective] [noun] [action]? Fill a watermelon with pot!
Closer maybe.

Depends on where they were headed.  THere was a bust here in N Florida a few years back, a truck loaded with watermelons - and a few bales hidden deep in the pile - was headed *in* to the state in the middle of summer.

So now ya'll fill that "watermeon" up with vodka, then freeze it and ya'll find out the results

A black guy would of smuggled grape drank, fried chicken, colt 45, magnum condoms and a white woman inside that watermelon. Nope not racist at all!

The Mexican cartels are getting very desperate these days. This is a good thing. Until the entire economic-political structure down there completely implodes, in which case the current state of affairs will look like a Wednesday night bar-fight in comparison.

I swear that the Mexican cartels do it as a form of gambling.  How ridiculous of a concealment can they get away with?  It's only ditch-weed and a throw-away first run mule, after all.

Then, while the DEA and Border Patrol are distracted congratulating themselves and processing the 'find', the cartel's real drivers wave from the semis full of weed as they drive by.

It is generally a very low quality so I *ahem* people I know wouldn't waste the time or resources on it.

I'm sure you can but that's a lot of wasted effort when much superior specimens are quite easy to get a hold of. If that is all you have access to then I suppose it is better than nothing

So mexicans are left with cutting grass, and not actually growing it? Shocked I tell you.

It don't even look painted, but a watermelon looking tape was used.  The paint ends on the tape edge.
