That's really smart to train for all the revolution and whatnot.  As opposed to our domestic militias who seem to think the revolution will be fought in 5 minute intervals with water breaks in between.

To all the True Freedom Patriots out there, when Obozo sends the UN shock troops to seize your guns, there's probably going to be a lot of running.  Hitting the gym would probably be more beneficial than another day at the range.

Why not take up biathlon and combine the two?

Don't sell the little guy short. He can either use the fat guy as cover, or outrun as needed.

THAT is a planner right there.

Me shooting the final stage of the Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon in northern Vermont this past winter.  Can't see it to well, but my head was sweating.  The air temperature was 5 degrees.

Also shot in the Shandaken Primitive Biathlon in the Catskills, and did two runs at the Southern Vermont Primitive Biathlon in Manchester, VT.

See that thing hanging off my neck?  It's a high capacity .54 caliber assault clip loading block that holds 8 bullets.  Nobody needs that much ammunition that quickly.

Besides, I only need one shot.  Because even if I do miss, it generates a smokescreen that lets me escape.

Ah. So like a military sniper ninja assault rifle. Sweet. Never seen one that wasn't black. Must be a natural woodland camo.

That is pretty cool.   No joking here.  I could totally get into biathlon.  The fact that you need to be in shape to control your breathing for the shooting is pretty cool.

Honestly, I'm not nearly competitive against the guys who can shoot clean and run (instead of jog) the entire course. Plus, I've got improvised bindings on my snowshoes, which means I have to re-adjust every so often if I'm not careful.  But I have fun, which is the important part.

Plus, it gives me an excuse to Mohawk my hair every winter.
