No. No. NO. NO. NO.

I heard the BBC News this morning. All of these Iraqis in Baghdad wondering when the Americans were going to come back and help them.

WE ARE NOT. FARK OFF.

We gave you 8 years and 8 months to get your shiat together. THAT'S ALL YOU GET.

So all the rotten eggs laid by those Neocon chickenhawks are coming home to roost? Colour me surprised.

No, seriously. They wanted to remake the Middle East using the US military as a blunt force object when everyone with any body part rooted in reality said that it would destabilize the region and eventually blow up in their faces. Now the people of these regions (and likely the soldiers of any power sent in to mop up things when they become really bad) are paying the price for the ignorance and ineptitude of these jackasses.

Sorry, I was talking about Iraq, not Afghanistan. I didn't read the article and saw that it was about Afghanistan. I've been a little ragey since I heard the Iraqis hoping that the Americans would come back and save their asses.

Mr Obama has helped ISIS by omission. ... In quitting Iraq Mr Obama failed to win an agreement that left some American troops behind, or that provided American aerial support. Only last month he refused Mr Maliki's calls for American airstrikes against the Jihadists. And in Syria, as many warned, the predictable outcome of Mr Obama's vow to prevent America being sucked in has been to create a terrorist threat so grave that it risks sucking America into an even worse mess.  ISIS may now catalyse the disintegration of Iraq and Syria.

Because when a useless  fratboy does irreparable damage to the country, it's essential to lay the blame on the janitor sent to clean it up.
Trouble is - some messes you make, can't BE cleaned up.
America knows the truth - and "Thanks, Obama" isn't going to work.

No surprise there.  The Bush admin was probably sending them pallets of cash to keep them 'in our back pocket' and let them keep doing whatever they wanted (so long as they weren't actively helping the terrorists).

Let me see, Afghanistan was a chaotic shiathole before the Soviet Union invaded, it was a chaotic shiathole during the Soviet occupation, it was a chaotic shiathole after the Soviets left it behind, it was a chaotic shiathole when the Taliban took over, and it was a chaotic shiathole when we occupied it.

I'm going to go ahead and guess Afghanistan will be a chaotic shiathole after we leave.

This was pretty much predicted too. Everyone was saying it was all going to get worse. And it will. The Middle East is a f*cking mess right now.

Massive unemployment + global warming + religious sectarianism + arms + political corruption = Middle East Total Fail.

See the great thing is that the Neocons can never be wrong. Because no matter what happens now it's some one else's fault. Obama bungled the withdrawal. Obama refused to send in more troops. Obama this and Obama that. If the Neocons had been in power it would have been all a bed or roses and light.

Someone like Cheney will go to his death convinced of his righteousness and angry that the liberals didn't do enough. The idea that he could simply be wrong is incompossible with his self-identity.  It's "heads I win, tails you lose."
