The broadcaster at the end of the video is kind of a boyish handsome cute. I like how he demonstrated how the pistol could fit in his 'backside'. Clearly he has nothing to lose...

If they would have aimed a little higher they could saved a lot of time and money. Nobody would miss one less meth head in the world.

yeah, but to be fair that model of gun jams roughly once every magazine anyway

/then blows up after about 50 magazines go through them
//the federal tax on manufacturing/serializing a handgun is $35. that's just the cost to the manufacturer before you take materials into account. those things used to RETAIL for 59.95-79.95. Think about that for a minute.

I have one of these Raven Arms .25 cal autos in my gun safe.  It is as dangerous to the person firing it as it is the person being shot at. The thing is basically made out of pot metal.  I'm waiting until a gun buy back program comes around so I can get my $100 dollar gift card to get rid of it.  Not a bad deal since it is broken and worthless.  Plus it is less money in the hands of the buy back programs.

Yeah, no wonder. You think the cops are really gonna spread the cheeks of a meth-head on a three day bender? Hell, he coulda had an AK up there, and that wouldn't even have jammed!

you want to try something scary? try to get a magnet to stick to the thing.
i think they are zinc or some other low-temp pot metal casting. they certainly aren't ferrous though.

I am not touching the thing.  It is literally rotting in my safe.  Not a spot of rust on any of my weapons.  My safe has a dehumidifier in it.  The Raven .25 has a spot of corrosion well over a quarter inch deep and is actually just turning into powder.

What is more frightening is the fact that people actually carried those things loaded.  The safety is very brittle plastic.  Raven Arms makes a Jennings look like a Sig Sauer by comparison.

Its literally a battery. no kidding; look at the electromotive tables and see how far apart the dissimilar metals its made of sit on the chart. the zinc is acting as the anode in this case, hence the crumbling. i can only imagine how long they last exposed to an electrolyte like sweat. i have seen them come through here that were dark grey, chalky, and pitted badly. we won't let them on the range for obvious reasons.

Do you expect someone to use a high dollar precision instrument for their ass-gun?

That was a Jennings. He's lucky it didn't explode in his face. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make an aluminum sear/slide retention combo needs to be taken out back and given said gun, 2,000 rounds of ammo, and have a rifle held to the back of his skull until he finishes the 40th box.

The aluminum sear didn't tip you off?

The gun was originally designed by a company called Jennings Arms Co. The number of times this design has been sued over causing the downfall of the company only to have said company assets and tooling be bought up again by another to continue manufacturing these pieces of shrapnel, ad nauseam, is getting close to double digits.

I almost got expelled from school (gunsmithing school) when a customer brought one of those farkers in for service and my prompt reply was "I'll mill it into scrap free of charge, but I'm not letting you leave the building with it now that I know that you probably intend to shoot it again."

I was also running a legal investigation company at the time, once one of my clients explained the situation to them they added it to the "Do Not Let Leave The Building Without A Waiver" list.

You can easily get a 40 year old rusty Makarov for the same price. USED.

And see my comment previous, these things are on my list of "Of all the many thousands of firearm models in existence, is one of the number you can count on 2 hands to be responsible for the discharge instead of the owner" list. I've posted at length about it in many threads that I remember you being apart of. That you can still buy these things boils my blood.

That the NRA had a disparaging statement about the shutdown of the latest company to have manufactured this design is one of the reasons I cut up my lifetime membership card and shipped it to the nearest NRA-ILA office. Should point to my political leanings that it was on the bottom part of the list. But you have a good idea of my politics already methinks.

You know what else a magnet won't stick to? A Glock 7. It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on airport X-ray machines here and it costs more than what you make in a month.

Buddy Hackett used to tell a joke something like this, as commentary on censorship of language:

I can prove to you the word "hand" is a worse word than the word "ass."  Say you're walking alone at night in a big city.  Guy jumps out of an alley in front of you, face covered with scars, real big guy, and he has a gun in his hand.  You're scared, right?
Same night, same alley, same guy, but the gun's up his ass.  WHO CARES?!?!
