"We should have some quality time with this guy -- weeks and months," Graham said. "Don't torture him, but have some quality time with him."

Ladies and gents, Mr. Lindsey Graham, defender of the Constitution, except maybe this bit:
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

TORTURE HIM!

We sure do on occasion sound an awful lot like the most cliché of villains.

He skipped that part. Easy to see why with its big words and all

Ah, Libtard love for the terrorist.  Color me surprised.

Why torture him? He is already talking.

Do, I was wondering. What if we're the baddies?

Since water boarding works so well, just keep showing him these group shot and have him point to the real leaders of the Benghazi attack. He'll break and implicate all.

That's nonsense.  My high school history textbook told me that America is THE GOOD GUY 100% of the time and anyone who says otherwise is a communist.

2014-06-18 12:07:46 PM
But...his idol Johnny Mac wanted to close Gitmo!

2014-06-18 12:08:58 PM
SO somebody catch me up is Obama an evil tyrant with n no regard for the sacred and holy, and divinely inspired Constitution this week or is he the weak-kneed, lawyer-loving,  wishy-washy liberal sob sister who doesn't understand that the Constitution is not a suicide pact and that a real man would simply ignore when he felt necessary ?

2014-06-18 12:09:29 PM
It's been sickening watching these GOP assholes use the deaths in Bengazi for political gain, and now all the torture ghouls are coming out of the woodworks again.

fark these people. Really. fark them all.

mistrmind: Ah, Libtard love for the terrorist.  Color me surprised.

This isn't "Libtard love for the terrorist" - it is the desire to afford ALL people the most swift and fact-based accountability possible - and to mete out punishment under set guidelines.

That the concept of practicing our OWN law is now seen as partisan is terrifying.

I don't know about the other FARK Libruls here, but personally, I can't wait until I get a chance to wrap my lips around the cock that killed Ambassador Stevens and feel his warm, embassy-destroying juice flow down my throat.

2014-06-18 12:19:32 PM
They want to send him to gitmo because he's already admitted that the attacks WERE spurred by the youtube video.  He is derailing any political grandstanding/fundraising by admitting that Susan Rice was right.

A lot of people owe her apologies right about now.  Let's see how honorable the Republicans will be.

2014-06-18 12:23:18 PM
I think we should do the exact same thing to these guys that we did to the last ones who attacked a US embassy.

Oh wait, half of those guys are life in a federal PMITA?  Well then, carry on.

About that honorable...

2014-06-18 12:25:21 PM
So...  They want to torture him until he changes his official story - the one he has maintained consistently for over 2 years now?

This is so pants-on-head retarded that I am at a loss for words.

2014-06-18 12:29:17 PM
Yeah, right, the executive is going to put him in GITMO.  I don't think Obama could possibly do that.  He wants this guy treated fairly and consistently under both the constitution and the Geneva conventions.  Especially since based on what this guy has said about his crimes so far, it's a) a slam dunk and b) a huge black eye for the GOP Behgaziphiles.

2014-06-18 12:30:28 PM
"Guantanamo [is] where we put terrorists, where we apprehend them," McCain told reporters on Capitol Hill.

How convenient that would be if Guantanamo was where we apprehended them AND locked them up. Just arrest the baddies and then walk them a few yards to their new cells. We could avoid all this business in the Middle East altogether.

2014-06-18 12:31:31 PM
How stupid is it for the people who run our country to OPENLY say, "we are going to torture the shiat out of this guy." That's a basic biatch error. You're supposed to say "we will debrief him when he arrives and if he just happens to give us intel while we are strictly following the Geneva Convention, we'll be mighty happy."

So, GTMO was bad last week, now it's good. Torture was bad when the axis of evil does it, but good when we do it. I simply can't keep up with what I am supposed to be outraged by this week. I usually love conservative circle jerks, but this one is just leaving me bored and chafed.

Karac: I think we should do the exact same thing to these guys that we did to the last ones who attacked a US embassy.

Oh wait, half of those guys are life in a federal PMITA?  Well then, carry on.

But it didn't stop some other guys from attacking a different embassy 14 years later. It's clearly an inadequate solution.

Therefore, we must treat every suspected brown person as though they were caught stuffing 6,000lbs of C4 up a white Christian infant's ass, torture them until we're satisfied they don't have any information we want, and then keep them locked up without trial to prevent all future attacks on embassies.

It's the only way to be sure.

2014-06-18 12:34:08 PM
Torture doesn't work.  This is a long settled issue. Torture just makes people say whatever they think you want to hear, anything to make the torture stop.

It's inefficient 'and' immoral.  You'd have to be immoral 'and' a farking retard to see torture as a viable option.

2014-06-18 12:35:19 PM

Right, saying the US shouldn't commit war crimes means we love terrorists.

9/11 changed everything: now terrorists are too powerful for standard legal processes to handle, they are real world super-villains now unlike in 1998. You put this guy in a supermax and it's the equivalent of putting the Joker in Arkham; he'll be free next month with a new plan!

Republican senators could use some quality time at Gitmo themselves. They love it so much; let's send them on a one-way trip there.

Yep, why can't you be a real American like Allen West, Donald Rumsfeld, Alberto Gonzales, and John Yoo.

Release the Taguba report. Including all video and photographs.

Come on, I want to know what "quality time" means.

2014-06-18 12:45:54 PM
And if Obama had put the guy in GITMO they would be screaming about that saying Obama is trying to hide something or whatever. Seriously Republicans no one can take anything you say seriously anymore the only thing y'all do is complain and take an opposite stance from Obama on everything and do your best to undermine him. It's a farking joke at this point.
News organizations don't even need to pay attention to y'all anymore. They could seriously write about what Obama does everyday and paste "republicans are furious with Obama, they wanted him to do the opposite." At the end of each article and they would have covered both sides of the story.

2014-06-18 12:46:53 PM
Aren't these the same jerks who have been talking about how Obama broke his promise to shut down Gitmo?

More fuel for The Daily Show writers.

Whenever my Super Patriotic relations start in with this kind of shiat, I simply shame them to silence by getting on my 6th Amendment Soapbox.  "You guys give a shiat about the 6th Amendment, right?  Or is that one just for hippies and liberals."

It worked great for that dumbshiat POW kid we just got back.

This guy isn't some first term back-bencher in the House nobody gives a shiat about.  He's on the Sunday morning talk shows almost as much as McCain (who was tortured) and is as much 'the face' of the GOP as anyone these days.  And he's openly giving a wink and a nod to farking torturing someone.

"We should have some quality time with this guy -- weeks and months," Graham said. "Don't torture him, but have some quality time with him."

It's so unreal to me.  This is the type of shiat you expect to hear from some white trash tough guy sitting in a bar wearing an American flag bandanna.

That's pretty much their entire lives.  Rather than risk bumping into legitimate information or thinking for themselves, they listen to AM radio, watch Fox News and visit crazy websites solely to hear people tell them exactly what they want to hear.

It makes wonder if bums like McCain and Graham think about what happens to our Bergdahls when GOP leaders talk so tough about torture and other war crimes.

I guess senators don't have to worry about guys like Bergdahl. Why I bet McCain and Graham haven't thought about Bergdahl in years. Years.

anyone advocating for torture is a shiat stain and the lowest form of humanity.   Like Palin a few weeks ago, I didn't think it was possible to think less of Graham but I was apparently wrong.

Not that the Hope n Change comic is funny, but personally, I think it'd be funnier if they didn't used cartoonishly photoshopped and weirdly posed pics of the politicians they're... ummm... I was going to say satirizing, but it's not really satire.  Making fun of?

The humour would probably be a bit more accessible if there wasn't the disconnect of wondering why in the hell the cartoonist chose such a weird expression on the Democrats they're... umm... lampooning?

If you must do the photoshop thing, do it in a more abstract way, the semi-realistic thick dark edged thing just looks weird.

Well, why not waterboard him? After all, according to conservatives, it's simultaneously equivalent to a harmless fraternity prank that just involves dribbling water on someone, and the most effective interrogation tool at our disposal.
