Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Damn I miss Jersey Shore. What an entertaining show.

Well I don't know if you're serious or not, but I may have enjoyed it a little bit. At first I was, "shame on you for making us look like morons!" And then it turned into, "maybe this is a little bit funny, are the old episodes on netflix?"

I guess someone came at him bro.  Came at him bro!

I watched several in a row one day while recovering from a broken bone. Sure, I was on painkillers, but I have to admit, I was entertained. I was also surprised to find Snooki a rather sympathetic character. She seemed much nicer than I expected. And a couple of the guys were really sweet with their moms. And oh god why am I admitting this please take away my keyboard so I stop typing.

Hey, so what's the proper way to think about shows like this?

I live in Japan, and recently discovered that the Japanese title for "Jersey Shore" translates to "Macaroni Rascals."

What the hell else are you supposed to do at a tanning salon, besides fight over who most resembles a tangerine?

No, Bruce Springsteen singing about this would be the most NJ story ever.

/Or better, him telling about fighting his brother in a tanning salon in an extended rant before finally starting a song with a harp lick.

Just one harpist?

I'm picturing six or more on the stage.

Just for the record ... With the exception of that one dude who is from Vermont or Rhode Island or something, every male in the cast of that show is from NY, not NJ.

I never knew they existed outside of Oompa Loompas (no offense to them, btw). After seeing that show, I'm under the impression that New Jersey is where NYC dumps it's retards.

Yup.  Every summer.  It's good for the economy though.  Starting right about now all the jackholes from  North Jersey, Staten Island, Queens, and the Bronx come down here, drop loads of cash, and go home in September.  Hint:  You won't see many locals anywhere near the boardwalks between Memorial Day and Labor Day if you visit the 'Jersey Shore'.  We know better.

The funny thing is that everyone hated her in the first few episodes, and then that gorilla cold-cocked her, and then everyone loved her. It was the best thing to happen to her.

/or, uh, so I've been told.

Who?

Ferchrissakes, he's a mook from Staten Island, as are most of the stereotypical guidos at the Shore.

It makes me seeth to my own New Jersey born core to see these jabronis giving my home state a bad name.

That, and also that he's been closer to Karina Smirnoff than I'll ever legally allowed to be:

We see you. Working for minimum wage at the bordwalk concessions, and liking it.

Just kidding. I used to live in Monmouth / Ocean counties and used to go to the Jenks and Belmar all the time in the summer. Also Sleazeside maybe once a summer but almost always wound up getting kicked off the island by the rent a cops.

I'm in north jersey now, and I spend the extra gas and time to go to LBI. Less douchebags down there. Well, one more when I arrive, but still less.

After all the problems the shore had with Sandy a lot of them migrated to Delaware. I was at a beach bar with my sister and commented on home it looked like a jersey shore casting call.
