Tr0mBoNe: Any Magnetic Hill.
QueenMamaBee: I didn't think Vegas was all that bad. I was far more disappointed by Philly than I was Vegas.
Rapmaster2000: Eskaminagaga: The places that i have been dissapointed with are Boston, St. Louis, Baltimore, and Busan. What if I have really low expectations for St. Louis and Baltimore?
germ78: Sybarite: fireclown: A better approach to this thread would be "What is someplace that really farking delivers.".I'll start: The Taj Mahal. Yeah, it's crowded, and traveling in India is not without it's problems, but the thing is freaking gorgeous, and on top of it the unique combination of Hindu and Muslim architecture makes it all the cooler.GO!Bali, Indonesia. Some of the most amazing beaches and best snorkeling I've ever experienced. Descriptions and pictures are inadequate to the beauty of the place. The second time I went I did a bicycle tour which took me to some really awesome places you don't see if you simply stick to the beaches (which I don't blame anyone for).Alcatraz Island in San Francisco has a reputation among Bay Area locals for being a tourist attraction that does not suck. I highly recommend the audio tour.
Gulper Eel: Orlando turns parents into idiots. My normally-sensible wife wants us to do a family trip to Disney World some summer and all I can think is "Florida in July? How about NO."Seriously, screw Disney. If you've got little kids take 'em to Story Land or Santa's Village up in New Hampshire. It's way cheaper, it's not usually stupid hot, it's fairly uncrowded except for the North Conway outlet strip, and there's a lot of other things to do other than watching your wallet get hoovered.
kdawg7736: Niagra Falls does not surprise me. The American side really is boring. Disney World will really get my parents going since they love that place.I will just stick to the many relaxing beaches the East Coast has to offer. Best ones in my opinion are Ocean City, MD, Outer Banks, NC, and Myrtle Beach, SC.
DrPainMD: List fails without Bourbon Street. Yeah, the bars are cool, but they're crowded. The food is awesome, but the entire French Quarter smells like fermenting vomit and rotting urine. And check for an adam's apple on that hot chick who wants to blow you.

The place is unique and impressive and you can have so much of it to yourself because most of the people there are only walking the 50 yards from the parking lot to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Old Faithful, Mammoth Springs, and the Lower Geyser Basin. They barely even go in the Norris Basin.
Jamieboy: Gibraltar is a total rip. But if you are in the neighborhood, by all means give it a look. Same for the Temple Bar in Dublin. Just keep one hand on your wallet and the other on your junk in both places.
