Shame Us: By then Gus probably will have learned a little more about the game. He can move on from just yelling names really loud.

Gus shouting the correct names really loud would be progress.

Retsam: Fox 2018 will also have the nfl robots and a glow trail to help Americans follow the ball.

If NBC had the World Cup it would just be human interest stories with a picture in picture of the game at the top right.

If you watch them do the EPL, you know this isnt true. They are very good with it

Huh....

2014-06-17 04:20:40 PM
The Mexican challenge was a little late, not a yellow though.

Best 0-0 I've seen in ages.

Wow, the magic foam IS extra clingy today.

LucklessWonder: Rwa2play: Wow, why am I watching a repeat of Iran/Nigeria again?

If you can't tell the difference between those two 0-0's, I question whether you watched either.

eddievercetti: You crazy.

Maybe I got spoiled by the last 20 minutes of US/Ghana yesterday...but this game blows chunks.

Mexico's shooting from 25 yards and Brazil can't make a pass in the final third without it going wayward.

2014-06-17 04:21:53 PM
The ESPN announcers couldn't be bigger homers for Mexico if they were bald, yellow, and two dimensional.

Well, the refs make up for it by being homers for Brazil.

And it's still more intense because it's likely the 1st goal is likely to win this insanity.

these refs are being abused.  card these farking whining assholes.

I need to get some of that spray foam stuff to use around the house. I can use it on my kids. "See that line? Don't come across it until and bother your sister!"

If they're the same as the ones for MEX-CMR, they're from ESPN Deportes. It's in the contract to be a Mexico homer there.

2014-06-17 04:23:33 PM
These teams are half-content to go with the scoreless draw.  The ref looks fed up with the fouls and players wanting cards shown.  How soon before a red is flashed?

WTF, that looked like assault.

Are spurs looking to sell Paulihno? I know Sherwood wasn't a fan of his but maybe the new coach will be.

Still, it's been more the case of hit and hope for the Mexicans and Brazil not getting any joy in the last 3rd of the pitch in the last 10 minutes.

Jo coming on for Fred.

My god.

This would be a huge point for Mexico if they hold the scoreline. They might be able to pip Brazil to the group stage win if that happens.

What the hell is Mexico waiting for.....get Chicharito in

o_O  You fo' real?

Rwa2play: Maybe I got spoiled by the last 20 minutes of US/Ghana yesterday...

Spoiled by... the a largely one-sided game with non-existent US offense, lazy midfield play, and inability to pass?
Don't get me wrong, the US's late goal was exciting for us US fans and they pulled out the goals when it counted, but the US did not play well and game itself was not great.  American fans had to watch their team play terribly while clinging to their lead for dear life, while Ghana fans had to be frustrated by losing to a team that they were outplaying, and everyone else just saw sloppy soccer.
