No, the show needs an end not a reboot.

What is it with Tartakovski and Cartoon Network? The guy creates good series with big fan bases, but Cartoon Network seems to treat him about as well as Fox treats Whedon.

See, MLP gets watched because my kids like it AND I find it amusing.

I will watch PPG again with or without the kids. Won;t be going to conventions for it or something like that.

I don't understand. There are many underage girls who are sexually attractive. Just because they are underage doesn't make their attractiveness disappear. Whether or not you should you act on it is debateable.

And seriously, if your 'masculinity' is so fragile that its threatened by animated girls or cartoon horses, its likely not the animated girls or cartoon horses that are the problem.

Did they swap out the management a few yeas ago or something?  It seems like they're run by the same people who thought there should be wresting on the Sci Fi channel.

I don't know - I enjoyed it, but I also realize that none of the cartoons I watched as a kid were really "great" shows, with a few exceptions (namely the DCAU, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Samurai Jack, and a few others).

Honestly, I'm sure it will be a decent show, as most of the remakes that have been done on old shows have been halfway passable (Thundercats, He-Man, the new TMNT). I just can't shake the feeling that the new, original cartoons that have been coming out are just putting a lot of those old properties to shame. Stuff like Adventure Time, Regular Show and Avatar are creative and expansive in a way that the shows from my childhood could never hope to be...

Not much from childhood is as good as you remember it. I tried re-watching some Animaniacs a while back and I just found the humor tiresome (though there was a "finger Prince" joke that completely sailed over my head when I was a kid that had me rolling).  You want a real shock to the system, try re-watching Xena. Holy freaking god was that an awful show, but I watched it every time it was on when I was a kid. *ululates*

A lot of the newer stuff I just don't get, especially Adventure Time. It just makes no sense to me, no matter if I'm sober, drunk, stoned, delirious, trippin on 'tussin, etc. It just seems completely random, like the writers mistook non-sequiturs for plot points and weirdness for character traits. And I started it from the beginning so I know it's not that I'm missing some epic backstory that would make the characters' motivations become more clear. The world makes no sense, the episodes are all over the place, the characters don't even stay the same people, sometimes Finn is just Finn, sometimes he looks like an actual human, sometimes he's a friggin girl....WTF am I watching? It's one of the few shows that makes me feel stoned when I'm completely sober.

What the should do is release a Samurai Jack movie that provides a sufficient end to the series. Provided of course, they can find a voice replacement for Mako.

I sometimes watch Animaniacs when i come across it, and its OK. not too bad. What really stands out to me is its one of the last shows that still did real "animation" with flat painted backgrounds and gloss ink characters (and objects that get interacted with). Most cartoons now, even non CGI ones, are slick and smooth all over.

A lot of the newer stuff I just don't get, especially Adventure Time. A lot of stuff like Adventure Time, China Illinois, AxeCop, etc, are all about randomness for the sake of randomness. Welcome to HipsterToons.
