It's a doughnut, but it's flakey like a croissant.

MMmmm....doughnuts....

Which always seems to me to be a badly made doughnut.

Never understood why anyone would ever want to eat at Yack in the box. They're the Arby's of burger joints.

If their "cronuts" are as authentic as are their "tacos"...

Cool, now I hope Jack in the Box expands to the Eastern U.S. so I can try one of these things.

The tacos are the best drunk/high food to ever have existed. At 2 for a buck, they're affordable too when you want to eat 10 of them.

oddly enough, their eggrolls are better than most chinese food places.

I refer to it as Jack in the Crack.

How about Pennsylvania, where I live? Ohio is the Midwest to me.

I'll be in Gettysburg Thursday.. What do you want me to bring? It will taste the same when I get there as it did when I left.

This means that the cronut craze is well and truly over.

Thank God.

Never again. About a year and a half ago I received a "breakfast jack" sandwich with a green egg. Took a few bites before I noticed. I politely requested a full refund for my order (about $8). The manager on duty looked at me quizzically like "full refund?" I got louder about the situation and told her to do whatever she felt was right. Other customers started to realize what was going on. I got the full refund. I'll never step foot in there again. Last time I had green eggs was in second grade during Dr Seuss month or some shiat, and that was food coloring. Jack in the Box served me a green motherfarking egg and tried to pretend it was ok.

If they go national with it, i'll try it. Other than that, J-Box only gets the nod when it is late all hell and good places are closed. There are way to many good places me to mess them on a regular basis. I got taquerias for days.

Death in the Box.  They used to kill people with their burgers in '93

I had a croissant with glaze on it with the free breakfast in an Italian motel, does that count? Doesn't seem that complicated.

Be afraid, the Hipsters who invented it will quickly disown the cronut craze (if they haven't already, considering Jack In The Box has latched onto it) and start making up a new seemingly stupid idea for a foodstuff. (hell, after Cronuts came the "Ramen Noodle [bun] Burger", so they seemed to disown that craze rather quickly and move onto a new even more disgusting idea!) I see matzah sandwiches in Hipster future and not just during Pesach (Passover) either!

I stood in line and had a real Cronut and found it really, really good.  It is definitely a treat thing and not something I would want every day. It was really rich. Something you wanted to take some time to eat.  It was more of a fine pastry than a donut.

I am not sure you could realistically mass produce them.
