My guess is they would do the bit with Tyrion toward the end of the episode, and then throw in the epilogue to shock and confuse the viewers who still can't be bothered to pick up a book.

Personally, I'd like to see the TV show go ahead and change the ending of Storm of Swords. Just completely divorce from the books right there.

Why? Because after the Mountain's duel with prince Oberryn I don't trust HBO to have the time or budget to do justice to any more of the epic scenes coming up. You simply can't afford enough extras and make up to do the horror of something like Saltpans justice.

So I want them to just cast off the mooring lines and set sail into an entirely different story. One where maybe, and this just an idea, THE PLOT ADVANCES!

I've never read any of the books, and I almost certainly never will. I also don't give two shiats if you post spoilers from them. I've been enjoying the series immensely just watching it on TV, although my honest opinion is that this past season has been, by far, the weakest. I didn't hate the last episode, but I did think it was wasteful to have the whole thing languish at the wall for almost no plot-worthy purpose when there are so many other story threads needing attention. And for god's sake do something with that stupid elf woman and her goddamn dragons, I'm farking sick of her.

I dunno, that seems sort of antithetical to the apparent premise of the books.

When I started with the series, Arya was 10 years old. Now she's the ripe old age of 12. In those "two years", there's been a dozen Discworld books, all of the Dresden Files, The Harry Potter movies, countless stand alone titles, and a few other amazing things like The Wheel of Time finally being finished.

Arya could be right up there with any of the best characters in any of those things. But George is so busy not writing that she's only had a letter for every paragraph of someone like Waldo Butters.

Speaking in general terms, I wonder if a certain character tonight dies, and if so, what sort of..."sound effect"?...might accompany his/her death. You know, considering what they say about him/her.

Just wondering.

**SPOILERS**

I don't know if it's ever been confirmed, but I've heard fan theories that Oberyn had already poisoned Tywin some time before the trial by combat, and Tywin was a dead man either way.

The related problem is the age of the actors and actresses. The book characters Arya, Sansa, and Dany are far younger than the actresses playing them appear.  The actresses aren't waiting on GRRM to get older.

I bet they wish they could have done when they start to hit 30.

I know I do. If I was physically now what I was when I first read Storm of Swords I would put down the books, hit the gym, and actually have won the hand of my high school sweetie.

Alas.
