It was posted specifically to irritate you, and here you are.  Mission accomplished.

Relevant for anyone who grew up watching Andy Griffith and Three's Company. Otherwise you're too young and ignorant to get it.

My favorite is still the Ghost & Mr. Chicken, but Andy Griffith is good too.  Never liked Threes Company for some reason.  Weird.

Don Knotts is best paired with Phil Silvers.

Wow. Didn't expect that to be so great--as everyone else commenting before said, a great moment for those who remember The Andy Griffith Show, Three's Company, with a nice little nod to the second best moment ever on television (the Newhart finale).

(Best moment, of course, is WKRP--as God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.)

With all due respect to the dead, you'd have to be a masochist to sit through the Incredible Mr. Limpet.

Or 5 years old. I have been told I used to watch it on high rotation when I was a kid, right before my Mary Poppins obsession, probably also around my "Cat from Outer Space" phase. ITS A KIDS MOVIE!!!!! (I think, I actually don't remember much about it)

Didn't catch the Newhart reference -- but I really hated that show and never watched it.

A lot of the TV comedy now require past knowledge. A late-20s friend said she didn't understand why The Simpsons was funny. I asked her if she saw the episode with Paul McCartney telling the band on the roof, "It's been done." She said she had, but didn't get the joke. I told her to check out the Let It Be rooftop performance.

Agreed. As an adult i still like that movie. And it was a big deal because of the animation. I wish i had it on laser disc (yes i skipped right past having a vinyl collection).

I watch too much TV - and both Andy Griffith Show reruns and Three's Company reruns are included in that.  I don't remember ever hearing him say his "nip it" line in Three's Company - only on the Andy Griffith Show, so I think you're remembering wrong.  I'd be happy to be corrected though if I'm the one who is remembering incorrectly.
