(NASCAR)   Will Ryan Newman be stranded again for the race? Are jet dryer drivers putting on extra firesuits since Juan Pablo Montoya is back? Will we see our first commercial break within the first ten laps again? It's the Quicken Loans 400, 1 PM ET on TNT   (nascar.com) divider line 479

Indycar needs to schedule some more damn races. This season is too short.

Ending before Labor Day, that's pathetic

FlyingJ: You_EEEeeediot I've been to this race 3 times, and it is honestly much better on TV.  It's a mostly boring race to watch from the stands, even with one of those Sprint fan TV thingies.  I'll take a local short track race any day over it.

You forgot to throw an elbow @ Fontana, which Roger Penske built as an exact replica of MIS  Nevermind that we'd lost Ontario 30 years ago, an exact replica of Indy(there's SoCal racing fans to this day will not buy Chevron gas after their hostile takeover & destruction of that track to finally develop it into our Hockey Arena, Motel Row, Big Box Shopping Centers).  Not to mention Riverside...

I went to OMS a few times for the Drag Races (first all 5 second field) and saw Unser lap the oval at 201 (big thing back then) sad to see it go.

They announced they're adding a race at some club track south of New Orleans (contingent on facility upgrades.) There are also fairly solid rumors of them going back to somewhere in Brazil, and possibly even a street race in Dubai (!?)

Derek Walker said he'd go back to Laguna Seca in a heart beat if we add a little run off area in a couple corners. so, if you'll excuse me I've got some paving to do.

Well, Sao Paulo was on the schedule because some local interest businesses were willing to pay a much larger sanctioning fee, and I believe Indycar then used some of that to help with travel expenses, or at least shipping the cars. I assume a return to Brazil and a Dubai event would both be along those lines.

Meanwhile, they are "in talks" with Michigan, Phoenix, and Nashville, but they're more reluctant to cough up even the standard domestic fee.

The green flag pit stops in the ARCA race here were absolutely hilarious. Constant clownshoes.

The truck race last night wasn't much better. Even though he eventually won, Bubba Wallace tried to leave his pit box with three wheels. (Jack man dropped early)

Jooonyerrrr's pit crew guy just saved Danica from a penalty right there. That tire was about to escape onto pit road.

It seems like it would have to be. Otherwise you could put two teammates pit stalls together and have them help each other out for faster pit stops

Your Dad was right about OMS not a bad seat in the house , the drag strip was on the pit lane , Riverside I saw the first Race of Champions there when thay drove Porsche's . Great road course Dan Gurney came out of Retirement and drove a stock car there but broke a transmission about half way through the race...

Quick trivia question , what was Dan's stock car number ??

It's the referee's call, based on how much grass diving time was lost during the match. It's called "Injury Time".
