(FIFA)   Day 4 of the World Cup kicks off at 12 with Switzerland vs Ecuador, France vs Honduras at 3, and Argentina vs Bosnia and Herzegovina at 6. Put money on the underdogs, or slip some to the refs, as this crazy tournament may take some more wild turns   (fifa.com) divider line 1158

All of these teams have a pretty hefty distance when it comes to World Ranking, but we've seen some amazing efforts from the underdogs so far at this tournament, so all bets are off! It should prove to be quite exciting!

The officiating seemed to be much better on day 3 after some horrible calls on the first two, let's hope that it stays that way.

I know Argentina is stacked but don't you think it's a little unfair that they have to play two teams at once.

It's in the rules. Only way to give anyone else a chance. I'm just hoping for an upset when they face Germany and Brazil together.

Messi is like John Cena. Put him in a handicap match here and he'll flounder for the first half before hitting his 5 bicycle kicks of doom and winning 2-0.

But then, you put him in a normal matchup and he'll blow it on the big stage.

Afternoon all.

Shame about the result for England last night. I missed the game through getting a better offer but I read about some positives in the performance.

World cup, day 65: Will the 10th goal of the series be scored today? Will people care? Is the US coach an evil genius for knowing the outcome for the US squad ahead of time? Does anyone still really care?

The problems with England were not that big. They were still getting to know how each other plays and Rooney can't play on the left wing. Once they get more games together and Roy plays a proper left winger we could beat Costa Rica and Uruguay without many problems.

Also i spent the evening in a cinema full of men. In hindsigt you had the better evening.

Ecuador and Switzerland are close in Elo ratings, but Switzerland traditionally plays a suffocating defense. SUI 1-0.
Honduras is overmatched, but if anyone can choke away a match, its the French. FRA 2-0 but be cautious.
Game of the day. 1-1 draw.

I didn't find it obscure.  I'm just not quite awake yet.  I woke up, saw the time, and started streaming on my tablet.  I'm surprised Ecuador hasn't scored with all the set pieces they've had already.

It's hard to leave Houston once you make it past the 2-year mark. Trust me: I've tried 3 times
