marius2: Did anyone predict this?.....

I don't know that many predicted this, but let's not forget that in World Cup soccer there's not so much difference between the teams that the odd result can't happen fairly regularly.

And Costa Rica played really well in the Hex.  They kept it close against the US in that ridiculous snow game, beat the US 3-1 at home, drew Mexico at Azteca, and then beat El Tri 2-1 at home.  That's 7 points in 4 games against the top of their confederation.

Even Nate Silver gave them a 20% chance of winning this match.  That's not as small as it may seem.

Lose your damn mind because you're Maxi Pereria from Uruguay and Benfica, and these Costa Ricans had the gall to win.

Frustration.
It means you only have two minutes left to whack one of the other guys without being charged for assault.

All I've got to say is the following:  If Joel Campbell isn't on the Arsenal squad this season, Wenger's crazy.

Wait, it's dark there?

Our theatre has recliners for the entire front section. I'll do it when I'm sitting up there and no one is near me. I even ate a bowl of oatmeal and drank my OJ while I watched Edge.It was pretty awesome.

Guess I'll watch an ESPN film about the US prep on ABC.

Spain yesterday, now Uruguay. If Referinho hadn't been the 12th man for Brazil, they could have lost as well to a feisty Croatia.

I have ENG-ITA as a 0-0, but based on the goal-heavy nature of the trollWC so far, it's still gonna be 0-0

I've only read stories about how shiat the pitch in Manaus is. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

From what I've read it will be a bit like Arrakis on a rainy day.

BBC- The first six games of World Cup 2014 have produced 22 goals, in 2010 the first six games had brought just eight goals.

Score early. Italy are notoriously slow starters in tournaments.

Score often. England's defense is their weak link.

And figure out how to neutralize Pirlo, who is still Italy's primary playmaker.

Yeah, they're doomed.

They were painting it green the other day FFS.

I think both teams are OK with it though, because it's an equal disadvantage for both of them.

There were a lot of complaints about the ball last time; Adidas have supposedly put a lot of work into this one to make it more playable.

We've not seen any goals from free kicks that might be attributed to the magic spray holding walls to their line, yet, have we?
