DanZero: In before the hate, and just underneath a pair of real PIT fans!

How could anyone possibly hate Noll? I loved his Steelers team, and he was a consummate professional. Steelers have never  been my favorite team, but I've always liked and respected them, and their super bowl teams had probably the greatest collection of talent that one team ever had, at least up there with the old Packers teams.

Krustofsky: Landry finally gets another shot at him.

RIP coach.

...and will STILL fail.  Landry had showmen, Noll had  players.

I know I saw his teams play on TV, but I don't remember much about them.  (I do remember watching them beat the Patriots in that godawful 1990 season, and I thought it was a milestone, but it may not have been.)  I have watched all four Steeler Super Bowls, and you could tell those guys played their asses off.

RIP, Coach Noll.  May the Chief & Myron have a stool waiting for you at Heaven's Steeler Bar.

mediablitz: Raiders fan who HATED the Steelers growing up. Still haven't got over the Immaculate Reception (submitted this with a better headline) but as I am older and (somewhat) mellowed, I can appreciate his contribution.

Great teams and an amazing legacy. Truly the glory years.

Indeed, nothing but respect for the man.

RIP Coach Noll
Raider Nation salutes you.

Thanks for the memories, Chuck. You were the best. Now go kick Landry's ass in heaven.
