It's not like going now will cost him the primary.

I'm just enjoying the sad-face pictures in all the articles. They bring me happiness.

Maybe he should have gone hiking on the Appalachian Trail instead, if you know what I mean.

Something tells me he doesn't schlep.

Or do manual labor.

I don't know nothing about the man, so I'll go easy on him. It must have been a huge embarrassment to get rousted like that. Let him do what he wants.

/He'll be a sleazeball lobbyist, making even more money, by Christmas.

He is from Virginia, right? Why wouldn't he go to Virginia beach? Or Chincoteague?

Cause he's an elitist.
Those places are for the little people.

Is Eric Cantor the new Jennifer Lawrence or something?  There's like 10 greens about him today alone.

His boobs are insignificant.

I see it mostly as a reflection of his position.  And that not only is he one of the few Republicans who lost his primary bid to Teabagger insurgent, there was no real logistical reason why he should have.  It was his game to lose.  And he did.  So notable.

I'm guessing where he really wants to go is whichever resort area is the go-to place for deeply-closeted "married" guys to visit for anonymous sex with other guys on the down-low.

Are there a lot of steak houses there? Man spends a lot on steak.

Yes, it had nothing to do with the fact that you weren't "conservative enough" for primary voters.

Probably because he's been to Virginia Beach.

It's pretty wonderful that his district's GOP traded the number two spot in the House for a potential freshman, doctoral-level economist tea-bagger.

Yeah, it's always best to keep your "leader" who ignores you on everything in power because of reasons and...  reasons.  Maybe rape too since they are the GOP

The NY Post is a disgusting, vile, pants-on-head, waste of paper and ink...thing...that doesn't even deserve to be called a rag. It's not worthy enough to line my cat's litter box.

That is all.

Has Cantor put up a "FOR SALE" sign on his house in Virginia's 7th District yet?

That's the new talking point. "He wasn't conservative enough" sounds bad, so now they all go on about how Cantor ignored his district.

Well, that's great, that district just went from number two to number two twenty something (or four thirty five if Dems take the House) in terms of power brokering.  I'm sure their new rep will be gang busters at getting them that choice military contract.

While I'm guessing he will be switching zip codes rather soon (ending up in 22032 or 20007, working in 20036, most likely), I doubt there will be a "For Sale" sign on the property. He'd have to let the riff-raff in!

Cantor took orders from industry. Industry wants cheap labor (undocumented aliens, to be PC). His frothing base believes ua's are a drain on society. Along comes someone who spouts what they want to hear, and voila!

The frothing base will result in Hispanics staying away from the GOP in droves.

Be interesting to see how this plays out.

I know who Eric Cantor is, but for some reason I read the headline as "Eddie Cantor headed to the Hamptons...".

I'm not  thatold! Am I? AM I??

/23 skidoo

He's working on his Montauking points.

He lost the election because he (GASP!) wanted to actually talk about immigration reform.

If this doesn't scare the shiat out of you tht this is the new mode of political discourse that the voters in this country want, you should be ashamed.

Not that I'll miss Cantor, just saying.

Now Cantor can play with his organ....

What gets me is that rich dipshiats like Cantor can't be content with just "going to the Hamptons" on a regular basis. They have to control things, be in power, push this country farther to the right.

He's a significant figure in the US Government and the Republican Party who just lost his job in an historically unprecedented manner for somebody as powerful as he is.

So you know, maybe worth a few threads.
