You know who ELSE was a warmongering leader, suspected of cheating in an election, and fancied himself an adequate painter despite evidence otherwise?

Okay, maybe it wasn't an election per se, but arresting people who oppose passing a law is still considered voting fraud.

It's kind of funny that Bush is agoraphobic these days and spends most of his time hiding indoors painting dogs.

They indicted him.  But not the press over the past several years.  What a concept.

When it comes to perspective, are there are two dudes in that first painting?

It doesn't quite work unless Bush starts painting city streetscapes.

I will admit that he has Vlad Putins weasel face down pat!

I like how his works have been embraced so much by our society.

I don't know why, but I am fascinated by the man's paintings and hope to see many more.

He also excels at drawing.  Drawing the US into creating quagmires, that is.

"We've been torturing him for hours; he won't break. Should we bring out the Leroy Neiman paintings?"

"No! We cannot risk violating the Geneva Convention!"

Bush's paintings are pretty much the least objectionable thing he's done in his entire life.

His paintings really aren't that bad.  Are they suitable for consumption by the art world? No, but being a good painter is a lot of hard work and you have to start somewhere.  They show a lack of creative composition and uninspired brushwork but if he sticks with it, he could be able to be technically sound in 10 years or so provided he isn't expecting to create photo-realistic results.

He did a nice job of using enough paint to fill in the lines and cover up the color numbers.

Can they just give him time served? 7 years in a Romanian prison seems just for how much the paintings hurt my eyes/ left brain...

I think it's just one guy. It's what a David Hockney painting would look like if the artist weren't gay but instead just had some kind of dissociative disorder.
