I can see the ending now, just as Jason's hockey mask is removed it turns out to be Dom Deluise wearing his Captain Chaos outfit and cuts to hilarious outtakes where Burt Reynolds plays practical jokes on the cast

Even though Betsy Palmer (Mrs Voorhees) is the top-billed cast member, she's actually only on screen for 13 minutes. Throughout most of the film, a male stunt double is used.

The male stunt double was Tom Savini, but Betsy Palmer did appear in a poncho earlier in the film around the time of Ned's death, you couldn't tell this until the DVD was released.

If you look carefully at the beheading scene, you can see Mrs. Voorhees' hands grasping at the air as her head flies off...
Check closely, those are Savini's hands, not a woman's.
Oh...Sally Field, in that pic above, is so hot it makes me wanna cry.

Rawhead Rex: Check closely, those are Savini's assistant's hands not a woman's.

You forgot a word.

It was a fake head (modeled after Betsy Palmer) held onto a bloodpump equipped hump-esque appliance attached to Taso N. Stavrakis'
real back with toothpicks. Savini swung the prop machete through the toothpicks and the head went flying. Taso's hands flew up into frame.

Which is to say to that the fake head was attached to the humpback appliance with toothpicks and not that the humpback appliance was attached to Taso with toothpicks.

Long, stupidly difficult week creates tired eyes and fingers.

*PHRASING!!!!*

I don't know about that.  I think there was a strong likelihood a then-recent Oscar-winner like Field would want to follow up her success by co-starring in a low-budget knock-off of Halloween set at a summer camp.

Sleeping dogs has been "HD" since 2012 on PC w/ the free DLC.. Unless they are upgrading the textures again.

#9 sounds made up or a rumor the writer read somewhere and took it as fact. That's the first time I've heard of it, and I think if it were true, it would have come up in the CRYSTAL LAKE MEMORIES book.

Taso lost his balance once the blow was struck (apparently Savini really swung hard with the machete, thus why the head did the spiral) and was attempted to regain it. That's why his hands came into frame. And, seeing as how this was such an ultra-low-budget affair, Cunningham just said, "Cut and print!".  Of course, at the time, he didn't think the film was going to be anything anyone would be able to see in ultra-high-definition 30+ years on and examining as if it was the Zapruder film.

Seen them all. Liked them (most). Won't see the new one if it's "found-footage" (as they're threatening).
