So after a flip floppin great match yesterday, we can only hope that today continues to kick ass. A repeat of the last championship game: Spain v Netherlands should be your best bet if you can only watch one, though with the way Mexico played while qualifying, I think we can all cheer for Cameroon with the hopes of an upset. Australia, as always, is just happy to be there.

The USA should be the one who kicks its little brother's ass. As unlikely as that may be in this tournament, it's what true Americans should root for.
Go Mexico!

I wonder what the dive rankings will be today;
1. Mexico
2. Chile
3. Spain

Upset day would be great!

Urine trouble Cameroon. I would enjoy an Australia upset but they'll be lucky to lose by 2.

Brutal. I'm already on Page 2 of Fark's Predictor league. Hopefully will make a good showing today and creep up to the first page. My insurance chip is on the Spain/Netherlands matchup.

It's a triple Lindy of divegrass today.

Ugh.

Two ties and a "please, not in the face!"

I'm going to a Mexican restaurant for El Tri's game. I have no expectations for service, but the crowd should be amazing.

Hup, Holland Hup!

I may be going on a "team lunch" to the bar across the street. I don't expect it to be full of Cameroonians, therefore Viva Mexico.

Went Cameroon, Spain and Chile for this round.

It's not a farking rematch.

The heady times of 2006? I remember Mexican media actually having hopes of winning that WC.

Xabi Alonso will be sure to stay at least 5 feet away from de Jong at all times.

I have Netherlands getting the slight upset over Spain with a 2-1 win, and teh other two matches ending 1-1. I'm worried I'm undervaluing Chile somewhat though.

Also, yay! I got a greenlight.

I think Americans tend to overrate Mexico because they used to kick our ass so much. The fact is the only times they got past the second round in their history are when they hosted in 1970 and 1986. They are a distinctly average team for the most part, not to dissimilar to the recent US sides.

GO NETHERLANDS!!!

If you're Canadian and have have no team to cheer for, that's who you go with.  If you're Canadian and you don't know why, pick up a history book.

The only time I, as an Englishman, ever cared about Mexico in the WC was when Jorge Campos would design his own eye-bleeding GK jerseys.

Also, I like Cameroon because I vaguely remember Roger Mila in 1990 being awesome.

Mexico's only good at the youth level for some reason. They're a title challenger at U-20 and below, but they crap out afterwards. Just look at the highly touted Giovanni Dos Santos. From Barcelona, to Spurs, all the way to Mallorca right now I think.

Supposedly Del Bosque talked about how Spain didn't change but Holland did and it might be for the better for Spain.

If anything, the Dutch wanting to attack them will be worse for Spain.

/Also: FARK MEXICO~!

TheLads69: I have decided to root for fellow CONCACAF teams this time, and so go Mexico!!!

I go the opposite. Just like I never got people cheering for the "conference". I want my team's biggest rivals to suck and suck hard. I use the baseball analogy. If the Phillies miss the playoffs, I don't cheer for the Braves. I cheer for the Braves to lose in a crazy and hilariously stupid fashion

Hope I don't end up regretting it. Swapped banker over to Chile beating Australia 2-0. I just can't trust France.

I think it's because FIFA's threatening to take a CONCACAF spot away. So CONCACAF doing well would help prove him wrong.

Spain's options in midfield are just ridiculous:

Iniesta, Xavi, Alonso, Koke, Busquets, Mata, Silva, Cazorla, Martinez, Fabregas

If they could enter two teams, they would have the two best midfields in the tournament. How does one country have so much talent?

I live in San Antonio. I'm an all-around Spurs supporter. I also refuse to say anything about the NBA Finals until the series is over.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have the most fruitful academies in the world. And Barcelona seems to specialize in midfielders, so there you go.

Yup. But if reports are true, they still want USA to rebid on 2022 if they rip it from Qatar.  Have a feeling they will give it to someone else just because fark usa

I forgot, someone did mention that he is banging the "we'll take a spot away" drum. Honestly though, they've found a good spot with bids across associations right now (so they'll mess it up based on bribes)
