(ESPN)   Will the Spurs stay hotter than their arena? Will LeBron show off his GROWN MAN STRENGTH? Now that Greg Oden has more finals minutes than the rest of us, it is time for a Game 4 NBA Finals thread (9pm EDT)   (espn.go.com) divider line 459

TheManofPA: If Heat fans boo them in the 4th, man, they just flat out don't deserve to see another game with this cast. I have fun taking jabs, but if you get a group of three top tier players who take pay cuts to play in your city....you clap them off the court when the season is done like in hockey.*

*Point invalid if one of them is Kobe, hate that guy

Unfreakable: Degenz: It's been a waaaambulance fest from the beginning, and the Fark modmins didn't help by refusing to greenlight several threads of Spurs matchups in in these playoffs they estimated wouldn't draw any interest. How the f*ck do you not greenlight a conference finals thread?

Just to clarify, I've greenlit an NBA playoff thread every time there wasn't already one in the queue, but there were a few days where literally nobody submitted a single thread for the NBA playoff game. For one of the games, I had to submit one myself because there wasn't a single one in the queue for the whole day. But to say that Fark admins are deliberately skipping playoffs threads is straight-up wrong. If you're not seeing playoffs threads, it's because they're not being submitted, by you or anybody else. At least three times in these playoffs, I've had to beg for a single thread to be submitted so I could green it.

So you're that guy who interrupted the fanfare of a Tuesday night WWE event with news of a fake NBA game? Shame on you.

MugzyBrown: This whole idea that Lebron has to do it by himself and the Heat are old is total BS.

The Heat cruise controlled through the regular season, did well against the west, cruised through the east, but now all of a sudden are too old.

No, the Spurs are a better team, plain and simple.  They were the better team last year too, just choked it up in game 6.

Agree.  Miami was fragile all year.  Early in the season they were winning games by 'turning it on' late in games.  It was working then but I saw warning signs.

The Spurs meanwhile took a while to get humming, but by the time they played the Heat at home in February they completely wrecked them.

I'm curious how the OKC series would have gone had Ibaka played the whole series, but it appeared as if the Spurs figured things out (play a stretch 4 to draw him out).  They still provide the hardest match for the Spurs.

Meanwhile SAS is exposing Miami the way they did the Lakers back in '03, when they just demolished them.  This was after the Lakers had a great run - but their players were aging and the fire was diminishing while the Spurs were building with frustration.  Lakers went and got Payton and Malone because of that series (then got killed by the Pistons in the Finals).

What the Spurs are doing right now and throughout the playoffs is tremendous.

Mike_LowELL: Anyone else feel like the Heat would be up in this series if they had scored more points than the Spurs in either of the other two games?

You could say the Heat only won because San Antonio missed critical free throws. Miami is lucky they weren't swept.

Incorrigible Astronaut: I've got the LeBron/Wade press conference on in the background, and I'm pretty sure that I've heard fifteen different variations of "why are the Spurs so much better than you?" already.

I was very disappointed that some dumb journalist didn't ask James if it was a number 1 or number 2.

Spurs fans: Don't submit any links, then whine that there's no links for their games.

Again, proving that they are indeed the worst of the worst.

MugzyBrown: but now all of a sudden are too old.

Well, they didn't count on Chalmers and Cole (and Wade) turning into completely worthless sh*t sandwiches. The rest of the players are old. The younger guys just plain suck.

Spurs fans relying on other NBA fans caring enough to submit a thread around their insipid team is kind of funny

It is.  There are good spurs sites out there.  No need for fark.

That's the problem with most NBA fans, they have no grasp of basic physicswww.gagdonkey.com
