IAmRight: ColonelCathcart: Does anyone else enjoy watching the Heat pout?

/C'mon that has to be something! said Wade (pouting)

Just Wade. F*ck that guy. Bosh and LeBron catch all the hell, Wade contributes the least and flops the most and doesn't get anything.

He's a PR genius (and has been over the past 4 years). Right when people are about to turn on him, he always does the exact right thing and deflects it. Mind you, he's a great player (or at least was/can be), but he's found the perfect situation where he can only gain/never lose. Miami can't even hate on him since he's the one who figured out a way to set up this mini-dynasty.

I don't think LeBeon ever got booed in Cleveland.

In all the years of posting, in all your inane drivel, you finally got something right!

Way to boo your back to back championship team.

2014-06-12 10:55:31 PM

Hyjamon: seriously, heat fans are booing their own damn team in their own gym during the damn finals, wow.  they don't deserve any team, let's move the team to Seattle and see if that happens.

Instant sucking

2014-06-12 10:55:44 PM
If any one of the Heat's shooters actually shot like ANY of the Spurs have shot, this series might be interesting.

I guess it's kind of a year for "best teams" beating "best player" in convincing fashion in a championship, though.

2014-06-12 10:55:56 PM

jayhawk88: The Spurs have Leonard on contract for $3m next year, and a qualifying offer of $4.2m in '15-16. Jeebus.

My first thought was: Wow, only 3 million, that is great for them
My second thought: I live in a world where I make what I make and that was my first thought

IAmRight: Hyjamon: IAmRight: Hyjamon: IAmRight: Yes, both Manu and Bosh are likely HoFers. Not really a question about it.

I think there are cases to be made, but there will be a question about it.  its the Hall of Fame, not the hall of accomplishment/attendance.  granted accomplishment helps to being famous, but the opposite isn't true.

for example, Vince Carter and Allen Iverson are on the top 25 all-time scores list, are the HOF just because of that?

Dude the BBHOF is in a strip mall in Springfield Massachusetts. It doesn't have near the pretense that baseball or football do.

it can though... just happened to look up the all time steals leaders too, and I never followed the Jazz or stockton that much, but damn:

1John Stockton  3,265
2Jason Kidd  2,684
3Michael Jordan  2,514
4Gary Payton  2,445
5Maurice Cheeks  2,310

damn near 600 more than the next guy, but if we go by accomplishment, then Ray Artest/Metta World Peace should be HOF because he is on the top 25 list for steals too

Steals aren't a "you're a top 25 guy and you're in" stat.

I agree, just trying to make a point, if you let everyone in, then it is no longer something of merit, just another attendance certificate.  They could up the bar for candidacy and no one would complain, it is a young sport, they have to start raising the bar for admittance at some point.

Palmer Eldritch: OK, so the question now is, who is Finals MVP? Unfortunately, I don't think Pop is eligible. Duncan?

I think you probably have to say Parker right now; he's been the most consistent. The way Leonard has come on though....

2014-06-12 10:57:06 PM
It's cool if LeBron makes everything because the Heat can't stop anyone.

how flexible is the award?>  I would say the Spurs bench if that is allowed, otherwise maybe Green?

TheManofPA: 6 minute mark in the quarter. Bad time for Spurs....

...to continue to lead by 20?

Spoelstra is thinking... "Is Juwan still on the active roster?  Do we have his uniform on back?"

Did James just yell FARK real loud?

2014-06-12 10:59:36 PM
Oh come on, no tech foul needed there. Joey, we haven't mentioned you at all for 35 minutes, stay out of the way for the last 12

What's crazy is that the Spurs could easily bring back essentially this same team next year. They might have to pick two between Diaw, Bonner, and Mills, but otherwise, everyone is on contract (Timmah with a player option).

2014-06-12 11:00:18 PM
For someone who is presumably in great shape, Wade has a fat face. He looks like a chipmunk.

2014-06-12 11:00:24 PM
Heat are a farking tire fire

2014-06-12 11:00:44 PM
so what is the over/under for the number of minutes into the 4th that we see the section at half-court reach 50% of people still in seats?

2014-06-12 11:01:09 PM
Well, LeBron is now in "Fark all y'all" mode.

2014-06-12 11:01:20 PM
LeBron hitting the point where he's starting to think he's in Cleveland in 2007.

Splitter with a pretty layup.

/commentator basically said "white men can't jump" when he said since splitter "knows he can't elevate"

Lebron 19
Rest of team 2

7:00 mark.

2014-06-12 11:02:22 PM
Oh come on JVG, the Heat are deserving to be here and would have been the favorites (just slightly against OKC)

And lookng at the stats from previous games, if Spurs win this title, I HAVE NO CLUE who wuold be MVP. Parker/Manu/Duncan have flat out even stats across the board.

Duncan is 2 points and 1 board from a record breaking double double

2014-06-12 11:02:40 PM
Kawhi rules.

Heat fans hanging in there. Maybe it's raining outside?

LeBron with 19 on fewer shots than it's taken his team to score 2.

Yet he will get made fun of for this loss.

You know lots of people seem to expect Timmy to retire if the Spurs win this series, but I don't think he will. The Spurs can keep this rolling, and Pop has been managing their minutes so well it is reducing the wear and tear on the Spurs. I think Tim and the crew are loving this setup they have going, and the idea of getting a #6 ring would be pretty damn appealing.

2014-06-12 11:03:37 PM

Hyjamon: Spurs by three.  Foul shots are the determining factor.   Lebron goes off, but no one else does.

34 pts, 10 reb, 7 assist, 3 steals, 2 blocks

under 40% for everyone else

you are a puppet: lol

Lebron 19
Rest of team 2

yeap

I would have sworn that Duncan/Pop would have retired after last postseason if they won. I was kind of surprised they came back this year and thought that this was going to be one of those "things end badly" seasons for them (in that they barely make the playoffs, easy exit)

Maybe they retire this year, maybe not.

Well he sure gained a lot of respect from me, having to deal with a bunch of gutless teammates. I hope he leaves Miami so I can actually root for him.

Is that the correct number (James-19, team-2) for that quarter

And I feel bad but at least 75 percent of the submissions for this game and for the game 5 thread will be poop related.

#6 would have an obvious appeal to it. Plus Timmah doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would turn down a chance to defend a title.

I can see Timmy retiring, going out on top, physical toll on the body, etc.

Pop may stick it out to prove his 'system' didn't require timmy, just role players all around.

Put Aron Baynes in so he can outscore Wade. Doesn't need to be long, just has to get a couple buckets.

2014-06-12 11:06:05 PM
James-28 points on 15 shots
Team-29 points on 36 shots

Because he wouldn't have to do that much if he had don'e anything at all in the first half. 4 points? Are you kidding?

2014-06-12 11:07:22 PM
I love that the Spurs took this game out of Joey Crawford's hands before he could even get warmed up.

LeBron is probably one of the 10 greatest players of all time, but going 2-3 in 5 Finals appearances isn't doing him any favors in the greatest ever debate.

Yes. LeBron 7-7
Rest of team 1-10

(Assuming both Birdman misses at the end counted)
