Looks like only James is allowed to shoot this quarter.

Note: Spurs have been bad all series this quarter and James does play well here.

TheManofPA: Is Manu a HOF? I mean, he's rather good, I just never thought about him like that.

If we're acting like Bosh deserves to be in than so does Manu, no question.

What the f*ck is this Parker that hits 100% of 21-footers?

Bron vs. the Spurs in the 3rd, shiat.

yeah leonard has gotta finish if he gets that deep in the paint...

Down to 13, timeout Spurs

2014-06-12 10:38:53 PM
Heat already coming right back. Spurs need to do whatever they do pregame right before half ends.

Yes, both Manu and Bosh are likely HoFers. Not really a question about it.

I gotta admit that Lil Jon Turn Down song gets me amped. Like listening to DMX style amped.

BECAUSE NORRIS COLE/JAMES JONES!

You could make a case, but I feel he's a marginal candidate. I think he gets it only on account of being an integral part of several championship squads and foreign.

bertor_vidas: These last two games have been painful to watch. Not on account of the Spurs, they've played beautifully. No, the Heat have been miserable to watch. They can't play defense, they turn the ball over seemingly at will, and Wade looks like he's finally lost whatever spring he had left in his knees.

I think it is a case of Heat ran into a team that can play with them and not be intimidated...not quite the Heat's fault, the eastern conference has been weak for a good number of years now.

that and the Spurs are a complete team, which again, isn't needed in the east.

Fair point. Guys should've taken a Spurs-esque cut to at least keep Mike Miller around.

I know what the Spurs are doing is working well, but it really feels like they could just start feeding Timmah in the post and he'd score like 40.

I think there are cases to be made, but there will be a question about it.  its the Hall of Fame, not the hall of accomplishment/attendance.  granted accomplishment helps to being famous, but the opposite isn't true.

for example, Vince Carter and Allen Iverson are on the top 25 all-time scores list, are the HOF just because of that?

MARIO CHALMERS YOU DON'T GET TO SHOOT.

If James leads them back here in the third, my story is that LeBron had Chipotle post-game and couldn't clear out before he 1st. Then at halftime, he took a 30 minute one and came back clean and loose

Dude the BBHOF is in a strip mall in Springfield Massachusetts. It doesn't have near the pretense that baseball or football do.

I think he's the only one to do it, can't imagine who else out of a Europe could. Perhaps Pau?

BORIS DIAW JUST TOOK WADE OFF THE DRIBBLE!

BTW, if they're going to start actually calling San Antonio's reacharounds, this could get close...if Miami had defense.

BTW, Boris Diaw crushing just makes me hate David Stern's Spurs-ballwashing even more.

If Heat fans boo them in the 4th, man, they just flat out don't deserve to see another game with this cast. I have fun taking jabs, but if you get a group of three top tier players who take pay cuts to play in your city....you clap them off the court when the season is done like in hockey.*

*Point invalid if one of them is Kobe, hate that guy

it can though... just happened to look up the all time steals leaders too, and I never followed the Jazz or stockton that much, but damn:

1John Stockton  3,265
2Jason Kidd  2,684
3Michael Jordan  2,514
4Gary Payton  2,445
5Maurice Cheeks  2,310

damn near 600 more than the next guy, but if we go by accomplishment, then Ray Artest/Metta World Peace should be HOF because he is on the top 25 list for steals too

Disagree: If it was Taco Bell, it would just be leaking out all game and James would have at least 30 points in the paint as defenders give him a wide berth.

I am actually surprised at how long he has lasted in the NBA. He and JJ Redick.

Miami could've paid the luxury tax and not amnestied Miller.  Being cheap has a price.

Steals aren't a "you're a top 25 guy and you're in" stat.

6 minute mark in the quarter. Bad time for Spurs....

2014-06-12 10:51:23 PM
Hahahaa! Back up to 20 points!

Come on, Spurs....keep it up.  You seem to have deciphered to code to beat the Heat, so keep it up for this game and next and I will consider the first half of the year a huge win.

Plus, it completely destroys any talk of Lebron being the best ever.

Kobe would never take a pay cut.  he has the self-delusion that you want in your star players (for better or worse)...probably thinks could have won all those championships without Shaq

seriously, heat fans are booing their own damn team in their own gym during the damn finals, wow.  they don't deserve any team, let's move the team to Seattle and see if that happens.

2014-06-12 10:54:26 PM
Based on the first round, maybe my lil Mavs could have taken down the Heat again this year.

2014-06-12 10:54:43 PM
OK, so the question now is, who is Finals MVP? Unfortunately, I don't think Pop is eligible. Duncan?

2014-06-12 10:54:44 PM
The Spurs have Leonard on contract for $3m next year, and a qualifying offer of $4.2m in '15-16. Jeebus.
