I would think that, on average, there would be a full moon once every 210 (1/7 x 1/30) to 217 (1/7 x 1/31) months, so every 17 or 18 years so a 35 year gap seems unusual but reasonable.

This happened once when I was a kid.  My brother told me on that night the thistles would come to life.  Freaked me out then.

And a Honey Moon.

Isn't a lunar month 28 days? Or have I been hitting the crack pipe too hard?

Yeah. And if you look at the upcoming dates, there's a big gap after tomorrow (35 years), a much smaller gap following that one (14 years) followed by it happening twice within two and a half years (2063 & 2065).

In 1995, there was a full lunar eclipse at the same time that Hale-bopp was visible. Mars was also especially bright that night. If the combination of those three didn't herald some cataclysm, I don't buy that anything else will.

Today is 6/12/14 all even numbers the last time this will happen until Saturday

Make another pot ;-) It's the Honey Moon on a Friday the 13th that's rare.

A lunar month in most calendars is 28 days, but the actual lunar cycle is about 29 ½ days.

Very significantly, when I was a kid, there was a full eclipse/blood moon while I watched Escape from Witch Mountain at the drive-in.

Saw that at the drive in too... I remember it well..

Last time there was a Friday the 13th with a full moon I was working on a Haunted Riverboat and had a very fun time working it into my bit for the night...

The full moon happens at 4:14 UT, which means it happens at 12:14am Friday morning in the Eastern time zone.  For the rest of the United States, it happens on Thursday night (11:14pm CDT, 10:14pm MDT, 9:14pm PDT).

/Yeah, I'm THAT guy today

And all are divisible by 2 even the 14 which would make it 03/06/07 and we all remember what happened on that day.

That's nothing.  This August has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays.  This only happens every 823 years and will result in me getting free money.  Facebook told me so.

I've got a silver dining set from my grandmother.. would a fork work?

My son will be seven months old tomorrow. I'm wondering what the day will bring then (7 = lucky, 13 = unlucky, full moon = crazies).

That is, if I believed in that superstitious crap.

As long as your grandmother is now dead it will work. For your sake I hope your grandmother is dead. (I just wanted a good excuse to type that sentence. Thank you.)

My son will be seven years old tomorrow.

7 months x 12 months/year = 84 months2/year

This is important. This means something.

I remember when this happened. I was in the 6th grade, it had just snowed and Mr. Boer my science teacher said that we could probably drive at night with the car lights off it was that bright.

My birthday is 6/13 so I am getting a kick out of these comments. Although the last time I had a Friday birthday, on a whim I bought a pick 3 ticket and won. Picked 6,1,3 on a whim.

Of course I told the wife that I would note BE the meaning of life. Sadly she has never read our seen The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
