The Miami attendance issue is a huge circlejerk/running joke in /r/cfb, but it's something of a problem. The solution would be a smaller on-campus stadium, but given how developed that area is now, I don't think it would be 100% feasible.

I go to two games a year, so this is perfect for me.

You know how people are always trying to find the best thing to do on New Years Eve and if you invite them to a party or small setting event it's hard to get them to come because they're trying do something cooler and extravagant and you know they will sell out? That's everyone in Miami. Every day of the year.

The development isn't the problem.  They could find a spot for a stadium.  The problem is resources.  They can't afford half-decent strength-and-conditioning and nutrition programs (which is why they suck even when they have good recruiting classes), let alone a stadium.

The attendance issue would be improved if people didn't have to drive all the way to the opposite side of the city, but it wouldn't solve the real issue.

With the talent in  Florida, there is  the chance they become a contender over night. Florida and Florida State both have won title games in the recent past. The program has all the pieces in place to do the same.

Fark that stadium and Miami Dade PD. Dont go there as an opposing fan unless you're bringing more fans than them like UF or FSU. The fans are more a**hole-ish than any other stadium and they continually escort out opposing teams fans.
