I'm near their other parks, hell, won  4 free passes a couple of weeks ago, they don't beat you over the head with it.

And hell, I'm an atheist, and I would ban butt flossers and denim if I owned one.

Most family themed water parks have a ban on too revealing clothing whether they are secular or religious. This is not news. It's not even Fark.

You're not making Christianity better, you're just making water parks worse

Now the hell can a religious water park make it as a bond issue?

I don't know about you, but I would prefer not to ride a water slide that requires faith. Give me some old fashioned science and engineering, thanks.

Have you seen the women who usually show up at water parks? Banning thongs is a good thing.

Denim and alcohol were also mentioned as banned.  Also commonly banned for good reasons.  Denim (frayed cutoffs assumed) can harm the machinery.  Mixing alcohol with waterslides, pools, crowds... not a good idea.

Yup, alcohol and frat boys have pretty much ruined tubing on the Guadalupe.  People just don't know how to behave in public anymore.  Having a good time does not mean you have to be an annoyance to everybody else.

TheGreatGazoo: Thongs on waterslides tend to have 'accidents'.

What's wrong with denim other than the threads clog up the filters?

A lot of denim jeans have rivets at various points. Those tend to scratch up the slide surface.

Deucednuisance: NSCSB: One of the ways the local Megachurches near me get people to work for free is to tell them they are performing a "Ministry"*, as opposed to "grunt labor"

I'm no longer religious, but when I hear stuff like this, I like my Methodist upbringing more and more.  We'd lean on people for grunt work for stuff once in a great while (picnics and stuff), but at least they would just TELL you that they needed help moving picnic tables or whatever.

I went to the water park down here and was laying on one of the chairs when a teenage girl stopped right behind me to speak to her friend. this teenage girl was wearing a thong and had her back to me. I was laying on my back and when I opened my eyes I was looking directly up into her crotch area. With the thong this teenage girl was wearing I was able to see her vulva quite clearly. I did not have a problem with this at all.

I can see jeans, because the rivets on them would tear up the slides, but thongs are rare at the water parks I have been to.

Now here was a water park that required faith. And possibly faith healing.

That's reason enough for me.
Maybe one in a thousand people can wear a thong attractively anyway.

Circa 1990 you'd see women wearing thong swimsuits in public once in a while, but it hasn't really been a fashion thing for more than 20 years, has it? Please confirm or deny, someone.

(Sure, I bet thongs are offered for sale online somewhere, maybe that Weasel place is still in business. You can buy anything online. I'm talking about trends.)

The normal - non-faith based waterpark near me doesn't allow patrons to utilize their slides while wearing denim shorts or thong bikinis. It's a safety issue.

I have been to many water parks, and they are all "family oriented," and secular.  They do not allow thongs either.  This is just a big "non-story," thank-you MSM.  But on the plus side it must be a slow news day if this story is getting time.
