In my experience, watching a game with fans of a team playing is a special experience.

Especially with Brazilian fans.

Hummanah hummanah...

If you use the phrase "World Cup viewing party", you probably need to stay well away from rooms full of men drinking beer and watching football.

The only viewing party I need has 3 letters: U, S and A

Shame North Korea didn't make it, I would love to know where North Korean ex-pats hang out.

under a mountain: Shame North Korea didn't make it, I would love to know where North Korean ex-pats hang out.

Wouldn't we all.

North Korea in the 2010 WC was absolutely hilarous to watch. They were grouped with Brazil and Portugal ROFL.

I'm still trying to find a spot to watch the USA-Ghana match on Monday. I'm hoping there's a big outdoor viewing in Bryant Park or something.

FTFA:

Brazil: Miss Favela, Williamsburg

Listen to live samba every time Brazil plays at this South 5th Street restaurant. This place also has a TV outside in the patio. They'll be hosting a World Cup kickoff party on Thursday.

--snip--

What's wrong with Churascaria Plataforma? That's where I'd be, up to my eyeballs in red meat and caipirinhas.

I'm telling my post Olympic Fitba Final story:

Brazil Vs Mexico, Wembley. Summer 2012. Two cultures known for their restraint, subtlety and low level of noise.

On a bus back into the centre of town the jubilant Mexicans were making the double-decker bounce and wobble. After bearing it with good grace for some time, the driver pulled the omnibus over to the side of the road and demonstrated the value of his recent training in being sensitive to those from other cultures.

Climbing the stairs to the upper deck, the lower deck passengers were pleased to hear him say 'Would the gentlemen mind not behaving like farking c*nts'. -Pause-  . 'Por favor?'

All kidding aside, that's absolutely true.  I flew up from Columbus, OH to NYC last weekend just to watch Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals (being played in LA) at the Flying Puck next to MSG.  I've been to games at MSG before, I was hoping for a little slice of that experience at the bar.  I was NOT disappointed.

.

Go to:http://predictor.talksport.co.uk

Search for our private mini-league:  FD3AE-RFX

Please join under  your Fark name or closest possible. Slapdash amateurism is very much in our idiom.

See the Talksports pages for help on making predictions.

We'll take scores from the  1st round of games commencing  12th June. If you miss this deadline don't worry, you won't be far behind the leaders.

United States: Lone Star Bar & Grill, Bay Ridge

8703 5th Ave., 718-833-5180

You can't get more American than all-you-can-eat barbecue for $13. This 5th Avenue bar is headquarters to the local chapter of the American Outlaws, a U.S. soccer support group. Watching a game here will feel like a 4th of July party.

Now THIS is how you live up to a stereotype.

I'm going to the Ironbound in Newark on Sunday night wearing red white and blue all over.

It's been nice knowing you all.

Golly, that might be tough, buddy. You only have until Monday to find ANY F*CKING BAR IN THE COUNTRY.
