They made it a point to show he was wearing safety goggles, I don't see the problem.

A bunch of dudes with no pants on killing each other.

2014-06-11 12:01:19 PM
Wow, a whole eight seconds of gameplay. That's actually high for a game trailer.

2014-06-11 12:20:17 PM
So it's going to be running a constant loop?

Is there a "Ask Lorthar The Decapitator if he would like to stop this nonsense and share a nice cup of tea with you" button?

When did the news networks retire Doom?  I know it was the go to well after the game passed into nostalgia.

2014-06-11 01:22:07 PM
That trailer was shiat. I don't even understand what the game is supposed to be.

But look how great all those cinematic cutscenes that don't actually appear in the game look!

Not only that, but the in-game footage actually looked pretty bad, like "two generations ago" bad.

Then it perfectly encapsulates playing a Suda 51 game.

Yeah, and the red/green/blue whatever blurriness was confusing. Is that supposed to be for old fashioned 3D glasses? Is the game just going to look goofy like that? I'm not one to normally poo poo game trailers and I'm generally pretty optimistic about this sort of stuff, but I definitely felt underwhelmed.

Wow, that game looks absolutely forgettable.

I think around the time GTA 3 came out, then it became the pearal clutching, couch fainting go to.

looks like a shiatty update to Rockstars "Manhunter"...zero interest.  PASS.

Heh, I was gonna say it looks like the PS2 version of Manhunt.

Not sure why all these crappy games are getting articals about them and I can find nothing on Splatoon.  Thats the only game that looks fresh from the 3 big consoles.

2014-06-11 02:06:50 PM
The violence is the least disturbing thing about that clip.

2014-06-11 02:06:57 PM
Suda 51? The trailer lacked any kind of masturbation mechanism/dick references.

/I liked Killer 7 and Shadows of the Damned and he produced Sine Mora so who knows, maybe it'll turn out okay

2014-06-11 02:09:43 PM
Suda 51 is the David Lynch of video game creators.

2014-06-11 02:10:13 PM
The mass media complaining about a Suda51 game? That sounds a tad bit unrealistic.

2014-06-11 02:12:52 PM
I liked how during their press conference, Sony showed off Little Big Planet 3.  This cute, adorable, fun-packed family title that everyone loves.

Then the BloodBorne trailer directly followed that.

/I would have liked to have seen some DriveClub, Sony.

But seriously, can we please get another MANHUNT game? I'm sure me and the 5 other fans of that series would really appreciate it!

This indeed reminds me of manhunt.  Being Suda51, i've no idea what it actually plays like though.

manhunter?

it looks like numbers bounced out of people when they got hurt.  so, i guess this is an rpg?

/ without advancement, who cares about numbers?

No, I think Halo 5 set the bar with 10 seconds. Granted, half of that was the multi player team running out of the start area.

2014-06-11 02:54:41 PM
The game is from Suda 51

Oh good, means I can avoid it and not feel like I've missed something.

Two shirtless guys in a dark hallway attack eachother with the inventory of Home Depot?  Sounds riveting.

I love that video game trailers are always all cinematic CGI rendered sequences that are all gripping and riveting and then they show the gameplay and it's so obviously, embarrassingly sh*tful in comparison that it completely turns you off to the whole thing.

I counted one gun (a pistol no less) and a laser pointer.

High for a PS release, anyway.  I honestly don't remember seeing any gameplay footage in the US FF7 commercials back in the day.  It's pretty sad that like everything else on TV, commercials lose to the internet when people wanna see something.

2014-06-11 03:26:32 PM
There is still a wide acceptance from people who do not play video games that they encourage violence.   Decades ago it was violent movies.
I think it is caused by violent parents.

Hell, I remember when they blamed Bugs Bunny and Road Runner cartoons for violence. As if I was going to drop an Acme anvil on someone...

Eh, it all depends on the game, really.  There were a few games shown this week at debut where they just sort of played it live. Pretty much every company has been caught using bullshots and FMV though.

So, the goal is to rescue the princess from guys playing "fight club" in a basement? I don't get what this game is about.

It's like sitting through an overproduced Youtube ad and then the content is just a upscaled gif.
